bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies & kiddos from birth through age 5. Each box contains five or more products that are responsibly sourced, eco-friendly and often organic. The contents are based on the age of your kiddo in months, so boxes tend to vary a LOT. I really love this about bluum, since I’m never really sure just what I’ll see when I open their big red box.
My girls are currently 25 months old, so the bluum box I received was for 26 months. Let’s see what was inside!
Oh, hello big red box. What fun goodies are hidden inside your cardboard walls?
First look. Promising!
It looks like they’ve switched up their huge “info” cards and went with a smaller design. The actual list of products received will still be sent to you via email once your box is delivered. You can also find it in your account online (again, after the box is delivered).
I Feel Happy by Parragon Books – Aww! What a cute book! This is totally something I would have picked out myself. It features a bunch of sweet little animals expressing various emotions from happiness, to grumpiness, and everything in between. Each page has a neat pull-out flap(?) with even more emotions. C is a HUGE fan of kitties and her face lit up when she saw the cover. Winner! (Amazon Price: $7.19)
First Time Sleepover by Child’s Play – Yay! Another book! This one isn’t as cute as the first one, and there’s no cool flappy pages, but it’s still a book and we love ’em. The text is kind of… random. (The last page reads: “We’ll come again soon! Can I get a pet?”) I was a little confused at first until I read the back cover which explained that it’s “conversational text” to encourage further dialogue between you and your child. Makes sense. I guess. 😉 (Amazon Price: $5.39)
Crocodile Creek Ladybug Bowl – This is a nice, sturdy bowl that’ll be perfect for afternoon snacks. It features an illustration of a happy ladybug adorned with buttons(?). Cute! (Amazon Price: $7.99 for similar)
Fairy Colors Match Up Game by Peaceable Kingdom – We’ve gotten another set of these cards (“Animal Sounds“) in a previous bluum box and I thought they were cute, so I’m happy to get another set. This one features colorful fairies that can be used in a matching game using the front of the cards, as well as a big puzzle using the illustrations on the back. (Amazon Price: $8.99)
Harvest Snaps Snapea Crisps – Yum! I was introduced to these in a different subscription box a while back and my girls and I love ’em! They’re crispy, baked string bean-shaped snacks made with real peas. (They taste a lot better than they sound!) We buy them every couple weeks, so this just saved us a few dollars. 🙂 (Amazon Price: roughly $2.34)
So Easy Toddler Food by Cheryl Tallman – This is a helpful book that provides 40 toddler-friendly recipes, as well as tips and guidelines for healthy eating. Each recipe includes a nutrition facts chart just like what you’d find on prepared food labels. It’s not an extensive book, but there’s a few vegan-friendly recipes I might try out for the girls. (Amazon Price: $8.06)
Bitsy’s Brainfood Lemon Broccoli Smart Cookies – I’ve always seen these in subscription boxes and hoped we wouldn’t get them. I love that they’re healthy and made with real fruits & veggies… but I’m not too crazy about the inclusion of fish oil and fish gelatin. Ew. I’m raising my girls to be vegetarian (since I’m vegan and my husband isn’t, that was our compromise), so I’ll have to find someone else willing to give these a try. (Amazon Price: roughly $2.23)
Wow! I can’t believe how PACKED this month’s box was! So much stuff! I feel like bluum gets a bad rap, but if you’ve read any of my reviews up to and including this one, you’ll see how awesome bluum actually is. I’m beyond impressed with the boxes they’ve been sending lately. SO good! Oh, and the total of all my items this month comes to $42.19! Not too shabby for a $24.95 box! 🙂

I don’t know if you have a trader joe’s near you but they have a version of those snapea crisps (called inner peas). My daughter loves them too.

Good to know! I’ll definitely look for them next time I’m there. Thanks! 🙂
