Sunset 45 is a new subscription service that features “outfit-defining” accessories and beauty products. The “Little Luxuries Box” offers 4 to 5 different box variations (like Ipsy and Birchbox) to ensure that you get the products most suited to your lifestyle. They also offer 2 different box options: The Classics (for more traditional, timeless looks) and the Lavish (for more daring, runway-inspired looks). The Little Luxuries Box is $35/month shipped and includes up to $100 worth of products!
I was recently sent their September box, which focuses on “classic lines” and includes both Classics and Lavish box items.
Everything was tucked inside of a plain brown box with a Sunset 45 sticker on the side.
An info card explained the theme of the box (Classic Lines) and listed each of the items included, as well as their suggested retail price.
“Oblitas” Crystal Chain – Confession: I couldn’t get any good shots of these jewelry pieces for the life of me. I tried a zillion different apertures and just couldn’t get a really clear, non-blurred shot at all. Boo! Okay, moving on… This necklace is SO pretty! (Much more so in person.) It features “illusion bezel set cubic zirconia” and is 48 inches long. You can wear it as is, or double it for a layered look. I love the simplicity of it and the fact that it’s not gold (I’m definitely a silver person). Suggested Retail Price: $65
“Mellie” Pavé Earrings – I don’t wear earrings anymore, but these are very nice. They’re sterling silver with cubic zirconia accents and hoop style backings. I couldn’t quite capture the shimmery-ness, but trust me, they’re shimmery. My sister was over the other day and thought they were pretty, so I told her she could have ’em. Sometimes I’m nice. 😉 Suggested Retail Price: $48
Pavé Bar Necklace – Again, excuse my poor “jewelry-photographing” skills. This necklace features a simple cubic zirconia pavé bar design. The chain is a lot shorter than the first necklace and falls close to my collarbone. That’s my preferred length of necklaces, so this will be easy to work into my current jewelry rotation. My sister liked this piece too, but I was all “tough cookies, this one’s mine“. Suggested Retail Price: $40
Absolute Nail Art Paint Duo – These nail polishes include fine-tipped brushes for making detailed nail art designs. My nails are looking pretty sad these days, so I don’t think I’ll be using these anytime soon. Though, I doubt I’d be able to manage more than polka dots if I did use ’em. 😉 Suggested Retail Price: $2.49 each
Absolute Waterproof Gel Eye Liner – I have a ton of eyeliners piling up thanks to subscription boxes, but I’m sure this’ll get used eventually. It’s a waterproof gel liner in classic black. Suggested Retail Price: $4.99
Sunset 45’s Little Luxuries Box is definitely a great subscription for those looking to add pretty new pieces to their accessories collection. I think I totally lucked out by getting so many silver pieces in my package. It seems that a lot of subscriptions that include jewelry tend to lean towards gold-toned pieces and I’m sooo not a fan of gold.
The total retail value of the items in September’s box comes to $162.97! Nice!!
