Bonjour Jolie is a time of the month subscription that provides your preferred “necessities”, along with various treats, teas, pampering items, and even a special gift.
Every month you’ll receive up to 25 pads or tampons (or a mix of both), as well as feminine wipes and Advil, if requested. You’ll be able to choose any combination of pads/tampons, in any brand. You can also notify them of any allergies that you may have so that they can personalize your treats and “extras” to your specific needs.
Subscriptions are $16/month, plus shipping.
Let’s see what’s in the September 2015 Bonjour Jolie box!
The goods were shipped in a plain (discreet!) box via priority mail.
A peek inside. So bright & colorful!
September’s box was all about de-stressing as the summer comes to an end. The info card listed everything included, as well as descriptions and retail prices for each item.
U by Kotex Super Tampons – I actually don’t use tampons, but since this was a review box I was sent these by default. I like that they include a full 18-count box — plenty to get you through your cycle.
Laura Geller Baked Eyeshadow in Pink Souffle/Plum Tart ($24) – Wow! The “gift” this month pretty much covers the cost of the entire box. That said, I’m a bit confused by the info card’s description which states that this is both paraben and mineral oil free… Yet when I checked their site to read more about the product, the ingredients do in fact list multiple forms of parabens as well as mineral oil. I’m guessing (hoping) it was just an honest mistake?
BisCotTea Shortbread ($1) – Baked shortbread cookies made with all natural ingredients including wheat flour, butter, and spices. A sample of both Blueberry Tea and Chai Tea flavored cookies were included.
Mini M&M’s ($1) – These weren’t listed on the info card, but I’m not complaining! My girls LOVE M&M’s and these mini ones are very toddler-friendly.
Donsuemor Traditional Madeleines ($2) – Soft shell-shaped French cakes with a rich, buttery flavor. Since I don’t eat dairy, these will be a nice treat for my kiddos as well.
Tocca Body Wash in Cleopatra ($4) – Okay, now this is 100% paraben-free, as stated both on the info card and on the actual product itself. It has a nice, light grapefruit & cucumber scent and is infused with natural essences of olive oil, honey, and calendula extract. It’s also gluten-free.
Chimes Organic Ginger Chews ($1.50) – Oooh! I love these ginger candies. Not only do they taste great, but they’re also smart to keep on hand for bouts of nausea — I ate these all the time in my first trimester to help with the morning sickness.
Bali’s Best Tea and Coffee Candies ($2) – These all natural hard candies are made with real tea and coffee. Actually, I think I only received the tea-based ones… Green Tea Latte and Classic Iced Tea. But they do make coffee ones too!
Yogi Tea ($1.50) – Five samples of Yogi teas were included: Calming, Stress Relief, Cocoa Spice, Bedtime, and Licorice Mint. I’m looking forward to trying that cocoa spice one… yum!
Feminine Wipes & Advil – For obvious reasons. 😉
I actually haven’t reviewed a “time of the month” box in quite a while, so I was happy to check out September’s Bonjour Jolie offering. It’s definitely a fun box to open and is packed with everything you need (and more) to get you through your period with ease… and treats!

I’m glad they did a good job on your box. Unfortunately for me my best box from them would be at best two stars. The first box would have been half a star. They have the wrong pads and though they knew I can’t have gluten every single treat had gluten! They were late sending the next box. At least some of treats were gluten free with the second box. I filled out there form and emailed them to make sure they understand gluten makes me ill. And then emailed again after the first box. My experience with them was horrible. And this happen this summer.

I love this box, can’t wait for October! I was shocked they had Laura Geller makeup, super expensive stuff and at $24 alone, that was well worth the price of the box,
I have been with them a while, and they finally added a login system and accounts, so now changes are super simple.
I have allergies too, and since their new system, I have never had any issues. Most people have no idea what gluten is, and I don’t’ expect a company to fully research my allergy, they however do a great job of excluding and subbing out items for me. But if they goof up, I don’t’ blame them since not all gluten is easily found, I would give them a break. Seriously there are no other companies ot there that even try to help out with allergies at all. Most companies just say “screw that” and don’t bother with it,
Their customer service has been top notch too! Hey any coupons? I have a 6 months sub due to renew!

I’m thinking this would be a fun gift – for myself, or someone else. Husbands could even send it to their wives. I can’t help but think of the Sound of Music “favorite things” song when I see the brown paper package (tied up with string?) Getting gifts is definitely one of my favorite things, and the products included in this box seem to be worth way more than the $21.00 price tag. Good idea, way to think outside, or maybe inside of the box.

It’s really good choice to raise your mood during this hard time for every women. :)) Also I like tampons, so for me it’s the best gift in this box as eyeshadows too I really loved that ginger jews, as they are tasty and organic. Usually “organic” things have less flavor, but these jews are awesome! And all the box content were very useful. Will definitely order again :))
