Bookroo is a monthly subscription box that allows you to build your children’s book collection in a convenient and affordable way.
Each month subscribers will receive a box containing a set number of curated books — 2 for the “Picture Book” plan (recommended for children 0-3), or 3 for the “Board Book” plan (for children 2-6 and up). No matter which type of book you choose, each one will be individually wrapped and presented like a gift. Also, if you have children that fall into both the “board book” and “picture book” age groups, you can choose to alternate between each plan with your shipments. If you happen to receive a book you already have in your collection, Bookroo will give you $5 off your next box if you send them a photo of you passing the book along to someone else. Nice!
Subscriptions are $19.99/month (shipping included), or less with multi-month commitments.
Let’s see what’s in my November 2015 Bookroo box!
The books were shipped in a flat brown box with a large blue Bookroo logo on the back.
A handwritten note to my daughters was scrawled on the inside flap, which was a nice touch. The box itself was also addressed to them. Kids love seeing their names in print — especially on mail. 🙂
Both of the books were individually wrapped in pretty blue & gold paper and tied together with string. Cute!
Two Shy Pandas by Julia Jarman & Susan Varley ($15.15 on Amazon) – A sweet little story about two shy panda bears who live next door to each other but can’t work up the courage to say hello. One snowy day, they both realize that they hadn’t seen one another in a while… When they rush outside to see if the other is okay, — Well, I won’t spoil it for you. 😉
Okay, fine… They end up (literally) bumping into each other and quickly become fast friends. Yay, pandas!
Fly Blanky Fly by Anne Margaret Lewis ($16.40 on Amazon) – A colorful tale about a little boy and his beloved blanky, who he takes on a series of crazy adventures. Blanky takes the shape of a jet who zooms through the sky… a camel who marches through the zoo… a snake slithering through the trees… and more!
I’m SO impressed with my first Bookroo box. I honestly had no idea how expensive picture books could be! The two that I received have a retail (well, Amazon) value of over $30. The great value, plus the nice presentation and personalization makes this a fantastic subscription for little ones!
