BuddhiBox time! My box arrived a little later this month due to shipping changes, but no big deal. I’m just glad it wasn’t lost. 🙂
If you’re not aware, BuddhiBox is a subscription box that focuses on yoga and healthy living. Each month you’ll receive 4-6 full sized products to assist in your yoga practice, as well as everyday life. All products are from ethical, socially conscious companies and a portion of all boxes sold is donated to a different non-profit organization every month.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a sample box for $11.95/month that includes 2-3 product samples and coupons.
Let’s see what’s in my August 2015 BuddhiBox!
I was surprised to see that the box was larger this month, but once I opened it up I saw why…
…and there’s the culprit.
A peek inside the actual BuddhiBox… box.
The info card includes descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicates if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free. Every month a portion of their sales are given to a different charity. This month it’s Go Light Our World (GLOW), an organization who distributes eco-friendly solar solutions to impoverished communities around the world.
Chopra Center Satwa Sandalwood Incense ($10) – I could smell these incense as soon as I opened the box. They’re very potent, but not necessarily in a bad way. They contain a rare form of red and white sandalwood powders & oils whose fragrance brings a sense of harmony when lit.
Jesse & Co Lotus Necklace ($25) – I love dainty necklaces like this — especially silver ones (not a fan of gold at ALL). The lotus flower is a symbol of spiritual awakening and enlightenment, so it’s a great choice for this box. Definitely my favorite piece of jewelry from BuddhiBox to date.
Marley Coffee ($10) – I don’t think I’ve ever gotten coffee in a yoga type box, but I’m happy to see it make an appearance! I’ve actually tried Marley Coffee recently (in a k-cup version) and it was really good. It’s made with organic beans that are sustainably grown and ethically farmed. Oh, and the company was founded by Rohan Marley, Bob Marley’s son. Cool.
Wellsmith Scented Shea Butter ($6) – Yep, totally thought this said “Will Smith” at first glance. 😉 This is a 100% vegan moisturizer made of shea butter and almond fragrance oil. It smells like autumn and I think I’ll set it aside to use once the leaves start to turn. 🙂
My Mat My Mantra Get Your Buddhi on the Mat Magnet ($8) – This company was featured in a past BuddhiBox which included a yoga mat sticker. Apparently they make yoga-inspired magnets too!
There was also a Chopra Center Meditation Download Code ($7) that I forgot to snap a photo of.
August’s featured yoga pose is “Lotus Pose”. Full “instructions” are included on the reverse side of the card.
The featured recipe this month is for Iced Coconut Marley Coffee. I’ve been all about iced coffee since receiving an iced coffee concentrate in this month’s POPSUGAR box. Yum!
I really enjoyed August’s BuddhiBox. The necklace is pretty and the coffee was a welcome surprise. All totaled, the value of everything this month comes to roughly $66! Yet another great box!
