Let’s see what’s in my August 2018 BuddhiBox!
The box!
A peek inside.
BuddhiBox now sends their “boxes” in reusable canvas bags. Every bag features a new yogi-inspired phrase/mantra each month.
An info card included descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicated if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free.
Spirit Wind Chimes ($18)
This dainty little wind chime measures roughly 9 inches long and produces a light, pleasant sound. It has a gold/brass image of Buddha in the middle, with rainbow colored beads above it and 3 red beads/gold bells at the bottom. I’m loving all of these home decor-ish items BuddhiBox has been including lately. 🙂
Scentuals Natural & Organic Skin Care Cedarwood Pure Essential Oil ($10)
I love the scent of cedarwood and I’m looking forward to putting a few drops of this in my diffuser. According to the info card, cedarwood has been used since ancient times to calm the body while rejuvenating the mind and spirit. It can be used for aromatherapy, to help clear congestion, or to moisturize your hair and scalp.
Dia Naturals Organic Healing Face and Body Mud Masque ($30)
This handmade, cruelty-free mask is formulated with pure Indian Fuller’s Earth and aloe vera to heal and nourish your skin. It also contains Vitamin C-rich lemon to help brighten and lighten, while rose petals acts as a toner and help to deep cleanse. It’s unscented and safe for all skin types.
Blend Bee Earth Blend ($10)
Specially blended for BuddhiBox, this slightly spicy tea is made with rooibos, cinnamon, fennel seed, papaya leaf, and ginkgo biloba leaf. It’s 100% organic and contains enough tea for 5 to 7 cups.
Lilac & Willow Forest Scented Candle ($15)
The info card refers to this as a “Purifying Eucalyptus” candle, but the lid says “Forest” and it definitely has a forest-y scent to it. According to the Lilac & Willow website, Forest has notes of fir, cedar, pine, and eucalyptus. I always know I love a candle when I can’t stop opening it up to sniff it… This is certainly one of those candles. 🙂
Tumbled Stones Desert Rose ($5)
Also known as the “Sand Rose”, the desert rose is said to contain a unique spirit guardian. It’s traditionally been used for protection and boosting self confidence. It can also support you in your manifestations.
This month’s featured yoga pose was “Ardha Dhanurāsana” (aka Half Bow). Full “instructions” were included on the reverse side of the card.
Yet another great offering from BuddhiBox! My favorite items this month were the Lilac & Willow candle, Cedarwood essential oil, Buddha wind chime, and Blend Bee tea. The total value of everything in August’s box was $88! — Thinking about signing up for BuddhiBox yourself? — You can save 20% on your first month with coupon code “yogaaddict“!
