February BuddhiBox time!
If you’re new here, BuddhiBox is a subscription box that focuses on yoga and healthy living. Each month you’ll receive 4-6 full sized products to assist in your yoga practice, as well as everyday life. All products are from ethical, socially conscious companies and a portion of all boxes sold is donated to a different non-profit organization every month.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a sample box for $11.95/month that includes 2-3 product samples and coupons. — New subscribers can save $3 on your first month with coupon code “buddhifriend“!
Let’s see what’s in my February 2016 BuddhiBox!
The newly designed Buddhibox box. 🙂
A peek inside.
The info card includes descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicates if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free. Every month a portion of their sales are given to a different charity. This month it’s Corazon de Vida, an organization that provides support for orphaned and abandoned children in Baja, Mexico.
Quinntessentials Heart of Gold Blend ($30) – A roll-on anointing oil infused with organic sunflower, geranium, ylang ylang, and lavender essential oils. I’ve never really worn fragrances too often, but thanks to subscription boxes I’ve gotten into the habit of dabbing on a little essential oils on a regular basis. I love that it’s a natural alternative and that it can also provide beneficial “healing” powers. 🙂
Pandora’s Pops Hot Yoga Flavor Aphrodisiac Lollipop ($8) – This 100% natural lollipop is made with “herbs that support the desire and reproductive response of men and women”. Ingredients include fair trade organic cane sugar, organic damiana, muira puama, catuaba, ashwaghanda and hawthorne berry. The pops come in a variety of different flavors (all gluten-free & vegan!), with this one being Divine Pineapple & Coconut.
Hot Chakras Clothing “You are Beautiful” Bracelet ($20) – A dainty bracelet to wear as a reminder that you’re beautiful whenever you glance down at it on your wrist. It features red and gold glass beads strung on a nylon cord that’s long enough to fit all wrist sizes.
Hurraw! Vata Lip Balm ($4) – Hurraw! balms are one of my favorite brands because they’re 100% vegan. This one is infused with ashwanganda root and scented with almond, Guatemalan cardamom, and Turkish rose.
Dosha Bar in Apple Cran Awakening ($4) – A gluten-free, non-GMO, and vegan whole food bar made with organic seeds & nuts. I’ve never heard of this brand before, so it’s nice to try something totally new to me.
Marley Coffee Lively Up! Ground Espresso ($10) – This was listed on the info card as a “Buddhi Bonus”. It wasn’t listed by name, so I’m not sure if everyone received the same thing… I’m always happy to get more organic coffee though! 🙂
February’s featured yoga pose was “Eka Pada Rajakapotsana — aka One-Legged King Pigeon Pose”. Full “instructions” were included on the reverse side of the card.
This month’s vegan-friendly recipe was for Strawberry Chocolate Mousse. I’ve tried a similar recipe once, but I just couldn’t disguise the avocado flavor enough to make it edible (I hate avocado).
I really enjoyed the selection of items in February’s BuddhiBox. The bracelet isn’t really my style, but aside from that I think I’ll use every one of the other items. The value was great too — over $75 in products! 😀
