January 2017 BuddhiBox unboxing time!
If you’re new here, BuddhiBox is a subscription box that focuses on yoga and healthy living. Each month you’ll receive 4-6 full sized products to assist in your yoga practice, as well as everyday life. All products are from ethical, socially conscious companies and a portion of all boxes sold is donated to a different non-profit organization every month.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a sample box for $11.95/month that includes 2-3 product samples and coupons. — New subscribers can save $3 on your first month with coupon code “buddhifriend“!
Let’s see what’s in my January 2017 BuddhiBox!
The box!
A peek inside.
The info card includes descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicates if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free. Every month a portion of their sales are given to a different charity. This month it’s Shakti Rising — an organization that works to promote community well-being by creating woman and child friendly societies that are safe, healthy, vibrant, diverse, sustainable, and culturally alive. Their mission is to empower women to uncover, rediscover, and reclaim their whole selves.
May You Know Joy Seeds of Intention Cards ($15)
This deck of cards is designed to inspire you to set a specific intention for yourself every day. Simply pick a card at random and challenge yourself to fulfill the message with conscious awareness and purpose. I honestly don’t see myself remembering to actually do this, but I like the idea. 😉
Urban Mysticism Mental R & R/Sleep Myst ($20)
A reiki-charged aromatherapy blend of gem & flower essences and essential oils to help you unwind, relax, and recharge. The blend is safe for use on anyone — including children and pets. It includes essential oils of peppermint, lavender & vanilla and Green Hope Farm Sweet Pea Flower Essence to calm the body and mind.
Hara Healing Lavender Detox Body Scrub ($12)
This moisturizing detox scrub is handmade with a blend of Himalayan pink salt, lavender, oatmeal, brown sugar, baking soda, essential oils, and other all natural ingredients. (Note: The info card lists this as having a $12 value, but it definitely seems like more of a sample size.)
BuddhiBox Nothing is Impossible Cuff ($25)
A BuddhiBox exclusive item, this metal bangle will serve as a daily reminder that “Nothing is Impossible”. Wear it alone, or along with other bracelets for a fun stacked look.
Amazing Grass Protein Superfood in Chocolate Peanut Butter ($3)
Each serving of this nutrition shake contains 20 grams of protein, along with 2 full servings of fruits & vegetables. It’s 100% organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, grain-free, and vegan-friendly. Sounds good to me! 🙂
Lively Matcha Ceremonial Matcha Samples ($2)
According to the info card, matcha provides the highest amount of antioxidants in any known superfood. It’s known to calm the mind, as well as improve your memory and concentration.
This month’s featured yoga pose was “Hanumanasana” aka Monkey Pose. Full “instructions” were included on the reverse side of the card.
Note: The info card also listed a Smudge Stick ($5) and a yoga ebook ($16), but both were missing from my box.
While this wasn’t really one of my favorite BuddhiBoxes to date, it did contain a nice assortment of products. My favorite items were the sleep “myst” and protein shake. The total value of all the items in January’s box was just under $100! 🙂 Thinking about signing up for BuddhiBox yourself? — You can save $3 on your first month with coupon code “buddhifriend“!
