Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a sample box for $11.95/month that includes 2-3 product samples and coupons. — New subscribers can save 20% on your first month with coupon code “yogaaddict“!
Let’s see what’s in my January 2018 BuddhiBox!
A peek inside.
BuddhiBox now sends their “boxes” in reusable canvas bags. Every bag features a new yogi-inspired phrase/mantra each month.
An info card included descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicated if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free.
“Protect” is an essential oil blend designed to help keep your immune system stronger and speed up your recovery time from colds. It includes essential oils of lemon, clove, thyme, cinnamon, tea tree, and additional oils with antibacterial/antiviral properties. To use, simply spritz on your body, linens, or into the air as a room spray.
Designed to be worn off the mat (they don’t have grip), these cozy toe socks feature ankle & arch bands for support and a fitted heel. They’re made of a polyester/organic cotton blend that’s incredibly soft and their knee-high length makes them perfect for wearing with boots.
This all natural, ultra light facial cleanser features a blend of organic oils and extracts for a deep clean that doesn’t dry out your skin. It contains naturally disinfecting lavender & peppermint oil, along with organic plant derived oils to moisturize while leaving your skin feeling clean and refreshed. The formula is vegan friendly and a portion of each sale goes to PETA to help fight animal abuse.
A natural, 100% alcohol-free cleansing spray made with saponified organic oils of coconut, olive, and jojoba, blended with witch hazel and the rejuvenating essential oils of geranium bergamot, rosemary and tea tree extract. It can remove sweat, dirt, dust, fungus, bacteria, and all other unwanted grime without drying out/breaking down your mat like the majority of other yoga mat cleansers on the market. It also comes with its own super absorbent 14″ x 14″ microfiber towel for enhanced cleaning power.
Sage is known as a natural purifier that can be used to eliminate harmful bacteria from the air. It can also transform the energy of the body & mind and support the feng shui or energy of a home. To use this smudge stick, simply ignite it with a match or lighter — making sure to do so with a clear mind and good intentions. Hold at about a 45 degree angle pointing the tip down toward the flame, allowing it to burn for about 30 seconds to 1 minute and then blow out. Then, with smoking sage stick in hand, walk around your workspace, home, car, bathroom or anywhere you would like to clear the energy.
BuddhiBox Pocket-Sized Notebook ($7)
This wee little notebook was included to “record your hopes, dreams, and New Year’s intentions and keep them with you as you work toward achieving your goals”. The cover features the BuddhiBox mandala logo and the phrase “She turned her can’ts into cans and her dreams into plans”.
Two bonuses were also included in January’s box: Meditation Studio – 2 weeks of online meditations ($10 value) and Yoga For You – Yoga Nidra Class ($10 value).
This month’s featured yoga pose was “Salamba Sirsasana” (aka Supported Headstand). Full “instructions” were included on the reverse side of the card.
A fun collection of useful yogi-inspired items from BuddhiBox! My personal favorites this time were the Oiliving Life Protect Spray, ToeSox, and Luna Cleansing Spray/Towel. The total value of everything in January’s box was $82 (not including the digital bonus items)! 🙂 — Thinking about signing up for BuddhiBox yourself? — You can save 20% on your first month with coupon code “yogaaddict“!
