Time for July’s BuddhiBox review! Summer is seriously flying by… I feel like I just reviewed June’s box. Crazy.
If you’re not aware, BuddhiBox is a subscription box that focuses on yoga and healthy living. Each month you’ll receive 4-6 full sized products to assist in your yoga practice, as well as everyday life. All products are from ethical, socially conscious companies and a portion of all boxes sold is donated to a different non-profit organization every month.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a sample box for $11.95/month that includes 2-3 product samples and coupons.
Let’s see what’s in my July BuddhiBox!
A peek inside. Every box features an uplifting quote printed on the back of the info card.
The info card includes descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicates if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free. Every month a portion of their sales are given to a different charity. This month it’s The One Love Movement, an organization that “seeks to create a better future for at-risk & homeless youth”.
Gypsy Soul Organics Aromatherapy Spray ($9.99) – I just spritzed a bit of this aromatherapy spray right before starting this review and it smells crazy good. It’s made with a blend of essential oils that includes clove, peppermint, cedarwood, eucalyptus, and more. I never know what to do with straight-up essential oils, so I love when they come blended in these handy sprays.
Erin’s Faces Firming Eye Gel ($25) – The older I get, the more I appreciate getting eye gel in subscription boxes. Ah, aging. This gel is 100% vegan and is made with aloe vera, witch hazel, and other natural ingredients that help to decrease puffiness & lines around the eyes. It has a cool rollerball for application and is said to feel amazing when kept in the fridge.
October Fields Nag Champa Candle Tin ($7) – Heck yeah! I can never get enough candles. This one’s made in Maine and features an Indian fragrance known as nag champa — a blend of frangipani & sandalwood. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the smell, but I LOVE it. Very calming.
Bear’s Beauty Sun Lover’s Cream ($10) – A zinc-based sunscreen made with organic ingredients including raw shea butter, hemp seed oil, and candelilla wax. The formula is fish and reef safe & the jar itself is recyclable/reusable amber glass.
October Fields Yogi Balm for Lips ($4) – I have a ton of lip balms, thanks to subscription boxes, but it’s not often that I get 100% vegan ones (most have beeswax). This balm is not only vegan, but it’s also free of GMOs, parabens, fragrance, and preservatives.
Auromere Ayurvedic Massage Oil (~$1?) – I didn’t see this listed on the info card, so I’m guessing it was just included as a little bonus. It’s a natural massage oil made with sesame oil and a whole bunch of different plants & herbs.
Skinny Matcha Om Blend ($49.95) – As you can see, this item wasn’t included due to shipping delays. I received an email prior to receiving my box so I’d know ahead of time. They’ll be shipping it out as soon as it comes in. No biggie!
July’s featured yoga pose is “Boat Pose”. Full “instructions” are included on the reverse side of the card.
The featured recipe this month is for vegan sweet potato brownies. Yum!
Despite the missing item (totally not their fault anyway), I thought July’s BuddhiBox was great. I love the candle (of course I do), the spray smells amazing, I can definitely use the eye gel, and the sunscreen & lip balm will eventually get used. All totaled, the value of everything this month comes to roughly $57 — and that’s not even including the tea (though I’m not sure we’ll be getting $50 worth of it as the info card states). Great box!
