Let’s see what’s in my June 2018 BuddhiBox!
The box!
A peek inside.
BuddhiBox now sends their “boxes” in reusable canvas bags. Every bag features a new yogi-inspired phrase/mantra each month.
An info card included descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicated if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free.
I’ve Decided to Live 120 Years by Ilchi Lee ($18.71, Amazon)
From Amazon:
New York Times bestselling author and one of the most renowned meditation teachers in our time, Ilchi Lee challenges you to radically rethink your ideas on aging, health, personal fulfillment, and what’s possible in your lifetime.
Ilchi Lee stresses that you can extend your life way beyond what most of us have accepted as our biological age limit, even up to 120 years. But the real question is, can we have not only a long life, but also a fulfilling one? Lee’s answer is a resounding yes, and it starts with the power of choice, a practice of self-reliance, and most importantly, a greater sense of purpose.
You can’t live forever, but this book by Ilchi Lee will teach you how to get the most out of your limited time here and stretch it out for as long as possible. Works for me!
Evil Eye Necklace ($28)
The “evil eye” symbol has been used to ward off negative energy for thousands of years. It also helps to promote happiness, health, and good luck. This dainty gold-plated necklace can be worn alone or layered with other pieces for a more unique look.
Gypsy Soul Organics “Gypsy Woman” Solid Perfume ($25)
I initially thought this little tin held a lip balm or gloss, but it’s actually a solid perfume! Made with all natural ingredients, it includes sweet almond oil, beeswax, jasmine flower, patchouli leaf, rose flower, bergamot peel, vetiver root, and more. It’s designed to combine with each individual’s chemistry to create a beautiful, unique, and personal fragrance.
Paavani Pitta Cooling Aromatherapy Spritzer ($9)
“Comprised of mainly the Fire element, people of Pitta nature are prone to irritability, anger & intensity. Use this botanical blend to cool, soothe & relax your entire being.” To use, shake and spray liberally on your face and body, breathing in the natural scents of lavender, peppermint, and sandalwood. Now that school’s out and my girls are with me 24/7, I can use all the calming I can get. 😉
Kind Lips Vanilla Lemon Lip Balm ($6)
An all natural lip balm made with pure ingredients including coconut oil, beeswax, olive oil, shea butter, jojoba seed oil, and lemon peel oil. In addition to producing high quality, all natural products, Kind Lips also donates 20% of all sales to anti-bullying organizations.
Green Tree Palo Santo Masala Sticks ($5.99)
I love the scent of palo santo! These premium masala sticks are hand rolled using a mixture of herbs, gums, resins, woods, and oils. The package contains approximately 12 sticks, with each having a burn time of 45-60 minutes.
Wooden Incense Holder ($4)
Also included was a wooden holder for your new incense. It features inlaid gold stars along the sides with a symbol of the sun at the end.
Motion Matcha Single Serve Matcha Stick ($3)
The final item was a packet of premium Japanese matcha green tea powder. It contains no added sugar and makes a great alternative to coffee or traditional steeped tea.
This month’s featured yoga pose was “Tittibhasana” (aka Firefly Pose). Full “instructions” were included on the reverse side of the card.
Yet another great offering from BuddhiBox! My favorite items this month were the book, Pitta Cooling Spray, solid perfume, and palo santo incense. The total value of everything in June’s box was just under $100! 🙂 — Thinking about signing up for BuddhiBox yourself? — You can save 20% on your first month with coupon code “yogaaddict“!
