Ecocentric Mom “Mom & Baby” Box March 2014 Review

Ecocentric Mom recently switched from a monthly box to an every-other-month box. This is the second box I’ve received on their new “schedule”. I’ve been pretty happy with the change, as the boxes are still full of great stuff and now I have more time to use them between shipments.

As always, I received the “Mom & Baby” box. The other two options available are a “Mom-to-Be Box” and just a plain ol’ “Mom” box. Subscriptions are $24/every-other-month, but they often have discount codes available that are usually good for the life of your sub. (I was able to score a discounted subscription not too long ago and now my boxes are only $18/month. Not bad!)

New Subscription Box! Period for Good Review & Discount Code

Period for Good is a new “time of the month” box that gives you a chance to “do good” just by buying your monthly essentials. Every month, Period for Good donates 25% of their profits to one of six carefully chosen charities (you decide which charity you’d like your portion to support!).

Period for Good boxes are totally customizable. You can choose from tampons, pads, or a mix of both. They have a variety of popular brands, as well as organic. If they don’t carry what you’re looking for, just send them a note to let them know. Every box comes with the pads/tampons of your choice, as well as cramp tabs, chocolate, and “something special”. Boxes range from $19 to $29, depending on how many supplies you need. Shipping is always included.

Once again, I got two different Citrus Lane boxes this month. My mom signed up when they offered new members their first box for free and (lucky for me) forgot to cancel after she received it… So she ended up getting one this month too. Woo!

Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (cheaper with longer subs) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom.

There used to be monthly “themes”, but they’ve recently moved away from that and instead curate each box based upon your child’s current age in months.

My Vegan Presence package showed up a little later than usual this month. It’s one of my favorite subscriptions, so my fingers were crossed that the contents would make up for its tardiness.

If you’re not aware, Vegan Presence is a monthly subscription box service that features — you guessed it — 100% vegan-friendly products. Items can range from food to beauty to household essentials. Citrus Lane February 2014 Review #2 and 50% Discount!

Although I’ve already reviewed February’s Citrus Lane box not too long ago, I’m posting another one!

I totally forgot that my mom took advantage of their free box offer last month and ordered one for the girls. She aged it up a bit (not sure exactly how much), so I’m guessing this box is for a 2 year old maybe? Seems about right, based on the other reviews I’ve seen.

I was SO excited when she called me up to remind me that she had ordered a box, and then went on to reveal what was inside. I was hoping that I’d get 2 of the items in our “normal” box, and when we didn’t I was kinda bummed. So when I heard that we actually DID get them, I was super stoked. (Yep, when you’re a mom you totally get “stoked” by stuff like this. Sad, but true.)

MunchPak January 2014 Review & Discount Code!

Okay, so I’m a little late on this MunchPak review… But, hey, better late than never, right? Right-o!

If you’re new to MunchPak, they’re a monthly sub that sends you a big ol’ box of snacks from around the world.
