Let’s see what’s in the February 2016 Calmbox!
The box! It looks to have gotten a bit wet in transit and the seal was actually broken, but thankfully everything inside was unharmed.
First look!
The 2-sided info card revealed that February’s theme was not only based on de-stressing, but also your emotional well-being and overall happiness. The card also included a list of everything in the box, along with photos and descriptions for each one. A portion of this month’s proceeds was to be donated to the Wildlife Conservation Society.
Happiness Is… 500 Things to be Happy About – If you could use a few more reasons to be happy… this book has 500 of ’em! I’m all about appreciating “the little things” in life, so thumbing through this book I definitely found myself relating to a lot of the “things”/illustrations scattered across its pages. A fun read when you need a little pick-me-up.
Hugo Naturals Calming French Lavender All Over Lotion – Lavender is well known for having a calm, relaxing effect so this lotion was a natural choice for a de-stressing box. Speaking of natural… it’s made with 100% pure ingredients & is soy-free, gluten-free, and vegan. Yay!
Torie & Howard Pink Grapefruit & Tupelo Honey Hard Candy – A tin of individually wrapped hard candies made with organic ingredients. I’ve gotten quite a few Torie & Howard candies in other subscription boxes and I’m always happy to see them. I like that they’re made with all natural ingredients and flavors… plus they taste pretty great. 🙂
Aloha Bay Love Chakra Energy Votive – This “energy votive” is said to stimulate the love chakra by awakening your sensuality, emotions, and intuition. It’s infused with 100% pure essential oils including rosemary, spruce, and cedar.
Valentine’s Plush Sitting Puppy – A cute inclusion for a de-stressing box. — Especially for Valentine’s Day. Calmbox included him “to have around when you need someone comfy to be with in a stressful time, or for that extra hug”. Aww.
Traditional Medicinals Organic Nighty Night Tea – If all else fails, it’s calming tea to the rescue! Five bags of relaxing “Nighty Night” tea were included to help you get a restful night’s sleep naturally.
I hadn’t reviewed Calmbox since July, so I wasn’t totally sure what to expect. Thankfully, it’s just as good as I remembered. The curation was great for a February box and it definitely had a “care package from a friend” vibe goin’ on. All of the items are high quality, useful, and smile-worthy. (Okay, the plush dog is from the Dollar Tree, but it was still a thoughtful inclusion!) Overall, a fun box to help brighten your month.
