Let’s see what’s in my August 2017 Chococurb box!
The box! — It did come in a foam chest with a cooling pack, but the packs leaked a bit and got slimy, so I tossed the packaging before taking these photos.
A peek inside. As always, all of the chocolates were tucked into an insulated silver pouch.
Vivra PB & Pretzel
A multi-textured bar made with smooth milk chocolate, roasted salted peanuts, crunchy pretzel bits, and creamy peanut butter. This sounds absolutely delicious and I’m a little jealous of the lucky (non-vegan) person who gets to enjoy it. 😉
Leonidas Milk Feuilletine
A Belgian chocolate bar that features creamy milk chocolate (minimum 30% cocoa) blended with crispy biscuit (cookie) pieces. Another great bar for those who enjoy chocolates with a bit of added texture or crunch.
Mayana Chocolate Kitchen Sink Bar Mini
This tiny chocolate bar is packed with all things delicious! — Don’t let its size fool you… It’s loaded with creamy peanut butter, crunchy pretzels, crispy rice, fleur de sel caramel, and coated in 66% dark chocolate. YUM!
Raaka Strawberry Basil
The lone vegan-friendly bar in the box was this limited batch Strawberry Basil bar from Raaka. It’s made with certified organic cacao beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter, strawberry, and basil. A unique flavor indeed. I was a little hesitant to try a piece, but I managed to eat two. — One piece to see if I liked it, and a second piece to confirm that I absolutely did not. Haha. I’ll stick to enjoying my basil in tomato sauce. 😉
Chocolat Moderne Lemon Up Avant-Garde Bar
These Avant-Garde bars are always so pretty! This one — Lemon Up — features white chocolate filled with tart caramel made with fresh lemon juice. Natural white and yellow coloring is drizzled over the top for their signature art-inspired look.
Wild Ophelia Cold Brew Chocolate Coffee Bites
The perfect treat for coffee lovers, these Fair Trade certified bites consists of a 70% dark chocolate shell with a soft center that combines chocolate with premium cold brew coffee. They’re made with 100% arabica coffee beans and are both gluten-free & non-GMO.
August’s Chococurb box was loaded with plenty of unique flavors and textures. While the only one I could personally try (the strawberry basil) wasn’t really my thing, it was still fun to try it. 🙂 Remember — if you’d like to try Chococurb, you can save 10% on your first order with coupon code “ROSEBUDS“!
