May 2018 Chococurb review time!
If you’re new to them, Chococurb is a monthly subscription that hand selects 5 to 7 treats from the top chocolatiers in the world to be included in each box. The folks at Chococurb believe that chocolate is more than just food – it’s an experience to be enjoyed and shared. That’s why they only include the finest treats, made by the best brands. When you sign up, you’ll get to fill out a taste profile in order to receive the chocolates you’re most likely to enjoy. They also have a shop on their site, so if you discover a new chocolate you’d like more of, you can buy it right from there.

Let’s see what’s in my May 2018 Chococurb box!
In the warmer months, Chococurb ships their box inside of foam chest with cooling packs to prevent the chocolates from melting.
Inside was the familiar turquoise box with its white Chococurb logo on top.
A peek inside.
As always, all of the chocolates were tucked into an insulated silver pouch.
K’UL Chocolate Mango & Chili
Last month’s box featured a hazelnut & orange version of this bar and it was delicious. This one features the same 70% dark chocolate, but is instead flavored with stone ground ancho, pasilla & chipotle chilis, along with chewy dried mango pieces. Unlike the other bar, I’ll try to spread this out over more than one sitting. 😉
Joe Chocolates Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate
These handmade dark chocolate squares are infused with small-batch roasted coffee and bits of hard salted caramel. They’re made with no artificial ingredients, artificial colors, or preservatives. I’ve had a few other flavors from this brand (that were vegan-friendly), but this one contained dairy and was passed along to my mom who happily took them home to enjoy.
Pacari Organic Chocolate with Andean Rose
This award-winning chocolate bar is made from pure Ecuadorian cacao and flavored with real organic rose essence. It’s certified organic, gluten-free, soy free, and vegan-friendly. I’m not crazy about rose as a fragrance, but maybe I’ll enjoy it infused in chocolate?
Theo Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
These adorable heart-shaped peanut butter cups are made with fair trade/organic ingredients including cocoa beans, roasted peanuts, whole milk powder, and cocoa butter. They contain 45% milk chocolate and are both palm & soy free. I’ve had the dark chocolate (vegan) version of these and they were incredible.
Ticket Chocolate Dark Salted Classic Bar
An artisanal chocolate bar handcrafted from fine couverture chocolate and accented with a sprinkling of sun-dried sea salt. It’s made with 55% cacao and is vegan-friendly!
Fran’s Deep Milk Chocolate
This skinny chocolate bar is crafted with 38% Venezuelan milk chocolate and features rich notes of pure chocolate, caramel, and vanilla. I’m saving this one for my husband, who’s all about (plain) milk chocolate bars. 🙂
A nice mix of both milk and dark chocolates in this month’s Chococurb box — half of which were vegan-friendly! Yum! 🙂 — Remember, if you’d like to try Chococurb you can save 10% on your first order with coupon code “ROSEBUDS“!
