I was super excited to see my December Citrus Lane box on the porch the other day — even more so than usual. I had already seen a few spoilers and there was a certain item that I was reeeeally hoping to find in the box.
If you haven’t heard, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (less with longer term subscriptions) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. It’s by far one of my favorite boxes to open each month.
December’s box was geared towards a 2 1/2 year old girl.
Let’s see what’s inside!
First look, with the signature bright yellow Citrus Lane tissue paper and logo sticker.
As always, the info card listed all of the items in the box along with a short description.
Melissa & Doug Alphabet Nesting Stacking Blocks ($11.99) – Here it is — the item I was hoping we’d get! Yay! The girls’ speech therapist has a similar set of nesting & stacking blocks and they LOVE ’em. I actually almost bought this exact set for them for Christmas, so I was really glad I decided to wait. These blocks are made of sturdy cardboard and feature letters of the alphabet along with brightly colored animal illustrations.
Green Toys Stockpot & Utensil Set (~$9?) – I love Green Toys products and so do my kiddos. We already have this set in pink and they play with it daily. They also fight over it daily, so I’m happy to have a second one. As with all Green Toys items, this was made from recycled milk jugs and is dishwasher safe. (Note: This is a Citrus Lane “exclusive” mini set (the full set also comes with a frying pan), so I guessed on the price.)
“Little Pea” from Chronicle Books ($6.60) – An adorable book about a little pea who doesn’t want to eat his dinner — which apparently happens to be candy if you’re a pea. In order to get dessert (spinach!), he must eat 5 pieces of icky candy. Does he do it? Sorry, no spoilers here! 😉
Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer ($11.25) – I just got this in my November Glossybox, so I wasn’t too thrilled to get it yet again. I’ve gotten a zillion Juice Beauty products from subscription boxes, so I’m kinda sick of seeing them. That said, it is a good product line and pretty dang pricey too! (But still, enough already!)
Aside from the moisturizer, I LOVED the products in December’s Citrus Lane box. The stacking blocks are just what I was hoping to get and I’ll probably wrap them up for Christmas. Green Toys products are always fun and the book is flippin’ adorable. The estimated total value of this month’s box (using Amazon prices) comes to about $39.00.
