I didn’t bother trying to track my Citrus Lane box at all this month, and — BAM! — it just showed up. I think I’m going to forgo tracking altogether… It’s a lot more fun (and less frustrating) this way.
If you haven’t heard, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (less with longer term subscriptions) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. It’s by far one of my favorite boxes to open each month.
My girls are 2 and a half, so this box is geared towards that age.
Let’s see what’s inside our February Citrus Lane box!
First look: The traditional Citrus Lane yellow tissue paper/sticker combo.
As always, the info card listed everything inside and included a few discount codes on additional items.
Skip Hop Snack Bag Set (Bee) ($6.98) – Okay, so we don’t need any more snack bags in this house, but these are too flippin’ cute not to use! The set includes a flat sandwich bag and a stand-up snack bag/pouch. Both feature zippered openings, food-safe interiors, and are made with BPA-free material. I love that the snack bag stands on its own and even has a little strap/handle for your little one to easily hold upright. Adorable!
Mudpuppy Picnic Time Puzzle Wheel ($9.99) – We’ve got a TON of puzzles, but none like this. It’s a neat circular puzzle that joins together via a single center piece. One side features illustrations of cute bear cubs, and the reverse is a color wheel. It’s a lot larger than I thought too… The completed puzzle is 12 inches in diameter.
Skip Through the Seasons from Barefoot Books ($6.99) – We actually already have this book (not sure where we got it), but it’s cute so I don’t mind having two. It’s a seek-and-find book that depicts one of the twelve months on every page spread.
YumEarth Naturals Sour Beans (~$1.00) – I love this brand because they don’t use gelatin in any of their products (so I can eat ’em!). They also use real fruit extracts and natural colors. I had one of these packets yesterday, and while I’m not crazy about sour things, they were surprisingly tasty.
Overall, I enjoyed this month’s box. Even though we already have the book, I’m happy with everything we received. The total value of all the items (using Amazon prices) comes to roughly $25, which is actually a little less than the cost of the monthly subscription. I did use Amazon prices though, so I’m sure the retail prices were closer to the cost of the box. Thankfully, I took advantage of one of their many sales and pay much less than the regular $29/month.
From now through February 28, you can save $10 on your first box when you use coupon code “BOX10OFF” at checkout.
