I love Citrus Lane delivery week! (Even though it was delayed a day…) Totally worth the wait!
For those who still don’t know, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (cheaper with longer subs) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom.
September’s box focused on the coming fall season and spending more time indoors. I had seen a few spoilers already, but like usual I wasn’t quite sure which age range my girls would fit into so I wasn’t 100% sure what I’d be getting. My fingers were crossed that we’d get a certain illuminating item, but I had to wait and see…
First look: The oh-so familiar yellow tissue paper sealed with a Citrus Lane logo sticker. The box itself was taller than usual, which was a good sign that we had gotten the item I was hoping for. Woo!
The info card confirmed my suspicions! 🙂
Cloud B Twinkles to Go Octo Light – Here it is! I had seen older kids get this last year and was kinda bummed that we were too young. So when it popped up in the spoilers again this year I had to have it! This little night light is by the same company who makes the Twilight Turtle, which we used all the time when the girls were younger. The batteries died quicker than we liked, so we haven’t used it as much… But being that this guy is a lot smaller, hopefully it’ll have a longer battery life. Either way, it’s adorable and I love it. Oh — it even has 2 different color choices (it projects stars and fish and bubbles on your ceiling) and automatically shuts off after 45 minutes. Love! (Amazon Price: $18.95)
Emily Press Write Your Own Shoe Labels – I’ve never seen anything like this before. They’re little laminated labels that you write your child’s name on and stick in their shoes. Each pair of labels has half of an elephant pictured on it… This makes it easy for your kiddo to put their shoes on the right feet. When the elephant halves line up to make a “complete” body, that’s how the shoes go on. (Kinda hard to explain in writing, but the photo should make it clear.) (Retail Price: $9.99)
Boon Pieces Foam Bath Puzzle – We actually have a bit of a surplus of Boon bath toys. I got one as an add-on this month, and my mom’s box included one as well. So this’ll probably go into the trade pile. It is neat though. — 10 foam puzzle pieces that stick to the side of the tub for bathtime puzzle makin’ fun. Plus they don’t hold water, so no risk of mold or mildew. Always a good thing. (Amazon Price: $9.99)
Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Radish Dish Soap – I’m a big fan of Mrs. Meyers cleaning products. This is a small bottle of dish soap made with naturally derived ingredients and scented with essential oils. We go through dish soap super slowly, now that we throw everything right into the dishwasher, but it’ll get used eventually. (Guesstimated price: $1.00)
I also got 3 add-ons using codes that Citrus Lane emails members from time to time (I signed up for their updates on 3 different email accounts to make sure I get them!). I think I had two $10 codes and one for $15, so I paid maybe $1.00 total for all 3 items. Nice!
Boon Trap Bath Tub Appliques – I didn’t really need these, but there was a limited selection for add-to-box at the time one of the codes was sent.
Bumkins Waterproof Super Bib – Again, I didn’t really need more bibs, but it’ll be nice for the trade/sell/gift pile.
Eeboo Halloween Paper Chain Decorations – I was actually really excited about this one. It’s a set of paper chain links to count down the days until halloween or just use as decoration. I love the vintage-y look of the designs!
Wow! This was SUCH a great box this month! I’m so glad I finally got that stinkin’ nightlight. The other things were pretty much just bonuses. All totaled, the items this month come to $39.93. Not bad! Plus, I was able to 3 add-ons for close to nothing. Definitely scored this month! 🙂
If you’d like to try Citrus Lane for yourself, you can get your first box for just $9 by using the promo code “TAKE20OFF“ at checkout. I’m not sure when that code expires, but if it doesn’t work, you can still get 50% off your first box just by clicking the link.
