Crafted Gluten Free is a subscription box that sends a hand-picked selection of gluten-free goodies to your door every month.
You can choose from 3 monthly subscription types: the “standard” Gluten-free box, Kid’s box, or Dorm box. They also offer one-time purchase boxes with specific themes including brunch, game day, cookies, protein, and more.
The monthly boxes include not only gluten-free snacks, but full-sized meal items as well. You can expect to find items such as crackers, baking mixes, cookies, fruit snacks, breakfast foods, condiments, popcorn, and more.
Subscriptions are $59/month for the standard and kids boxes, and $29.99 for the Dorm box. Discounts are available for multi-month commitments. Shipping is free for all boxes.
Let’s see what’s in the January 2016 Crafted Gluten Free Kids box!
The actual box was shipped in a larger box that was packed to the top with bubble wrap.
The actual box!
A peek inside. There wasn’t an info card, so let’s just jump right into the food/snacks…
Oogie’s Gourmet Popcorn – Two bags of Oogie’s all natural popcorn were included: Movie Lover’s Buttered Popcorn and White Cheddar. Both are gluten-free and contain no added sugar or trans fat.
Smooze Coconut & Mango Fruit Ice – Ooh! I love these! They’re all natural frozen treats made with real coconut milk and fruit juices. I’ve actually never had the mango flavor before, so I’m looking forward to trying it. Yum! (Oh, and of course I’ll share with my kids too. Maybe… 😉 )
Edison Grainery Q Mac – Organic mac n’ cheese with pasta made from rice & quinoa flour. It includes a cheese packet containing real cheddar cheese. While this would probably be great for older kids, I’m not sure my mega pick 3-year-olds will be down with something that isn’t packaged in a cardboard box with wacky shaped noodles. 😉
Modern Oats All Natural Oatmeal – These handy single-serve tubs provide a healthy, on-the-go breakfast for kids and adults alike. They feature non-GMO ingredients including whole grains, seeds, nuts, and fruits. Just add boiling water, wait 3 minutes, and you’re good to go. Two flavors were included: Chocolate Cherry and Mango Blackberry.
Fat Toad Farm Farmstead Goat’s Milk Caramel – Artisan-made on a farm in Vermont, this caramel sauce contains goat’s milk from the family’s own herd of dairy goats. It can be enjoyed on ice cream, in brownies, stirred into coffee, or eaten by the spoonful.
Qwackers Gluten-Free Crackers – A cute gluten-free alternative to goldfish crackers, these are duck-shaped cheddar cheese flavored crackers made in a dedicated gluten-free facility.
Bumbalooza Gooey Oatmeal Bar Mix – An all natural oatmeal bar mix that’s both gluten-free and vegan-friendly. Just add a few ingredients (butter, caramel and/or chocolate chips), mix up, bake, and enjoy.
Olomomo Cherry Vanilla Dream Almonds – These are really good! A bit on the sweet side, but I like ’em. They’re made with kettle roasted almonds, organic sugar, cherry, and vanilla. Both vegan and gluten-free (of course).
Freeway Fruit Gummies Monster Trucks – Fun monster truck shaped gummy candies made with real fruit and vegetable juice. These are made in Holland and seem quite pricey (almost $10/box on Amazon!).
The Crafted Gluten Free Kids Box is definitely a great subscription for little ones who need to avoid gluten in their diet. It’s also a great way to be introduced to new gluten-free brands and products without having to leave your house. I like that they include actual meal components, as well as snacks… The baking mix was a fun addition too and I just realized that the included caramel sauce can be used to prepare them. Nice!
