Let’s see what’s in the April 2018 Degustabox!
As always, everything was shipped in a big box with the Degustabox logo on the side.
A peek inside!
An info sheet listed all of the items inside, as well as brief descriptions, photos, and retail prices for each one.
Popchips Nutter Puffs ($1.49)
I received these in a couple other snack subscription boxes last month and was an instant fan. Needless to say, I was happy to see them again! They’re made with only 3 ingredients: peanut butter, yellow corn, and peanut flour and each bag has just 130 calories & 5 grams of protein. Plus, they’re vegan friendly & gluten-free.
Zeigler’s Apple Berry Carrot Juice Blend ($3.99)
A fruit & veggie drink made with concentrated juices including apple, sweet potato, blackberry, and purple carrot. It has no added sugar and each serving contains 100% of the daily recommended value of Vitamin C. My kids aren’t too keen on most whole fruits & veggies, so hopefully they’ll be willing to try this juiced version of ’em. 🙂
La Tortilla Factory White Corn & Wheat Tortillas ($3.19)
These handmade style soft & flexible tortillas are made with both white corn and wheat flour. They’re non-GMO and contain 14 grams of whole grains in each serving. I’ve gotten these in a past Degustabox and to be honest, they weren’t my favorite. They were a little too thick/”heavy” than the regular flour tortillas I’m used to.
La Tortilla Factory Cocina Fresca Barbacoa Sauce Starter ($3.99)
To go along with the tortillas, Degustabox also included this Barbacoa slow cooker sauce. The gluten free, non-GMO mix contains a blend of smoky chipotle, Mexican herbs, and a hint of lime. Just drop it in your slow cooker with some beef, water, & oil and you’re good to go.
Goya Plantain Chips ($1.99)
Mmmm! I LOVE plantain chips and was happy to see a full size bag in this month’s box. These have just 150 calories per serving (32 chips) and contain no added sugar. So good!
Amazin’ Raisin (~$2)
Subscribers received 2 randomly selected packs of these flavor-infused raisins. There are 7 flavors in all and I received Strawberry & Sour Lemon. These contain no added sugar and are vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, and certified Kosher. Fingers crossed that my picky kiddos will try them!
Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop (~$2)
I’m a fan of Angie’s (vegan-friendly) Sea Salt & Kettle Corn flavors, so I was kinda sad to see that both of these bags were non-vegan varieties. Ah well. I’ll have no problem finding another family member to take ’em off my hands. 😉
Torie & Howard Chewie Fruities ($1.99)
Ooh! — I love these little chewy candies. They’re like Starburst, but without all the artificial flavors & colors. Not only are they all natural and organic, but they’re also vegan-friendly, nut-free, and gluten-free. Yay!
Country Archer Jerky Co. Beef Jerky ($2.99)
Mango habanero flavored beef jerky made with 100% grass-fed beef. It’s gluten-free, nitrate/nitrite-free, and contains no added preservatives.
Fini Sweets ($3.27)
I was surprised to see not one, but THREE different Fini brand candies in this month’s Degustabox. Included were Shock Tongues (candy sour belts), Mini Kollisions (mix of sweet & sour licorice), and Fizzy Tornadoes (chewy berry blend with a bit of fizz).
Alō Spring Mixed Berry Aloe Vera Juice Drink ($1.99)
A unique beverage made with real aloe vera (straight from the leaf) and flavored with cranberry, mulberry, and blueberry juices. It’s fat-free, gluten free, and has no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
I think April’s Degustabox was one of my favorites to date! There were so many great vegan-friendly items this time around. My personal favorites were the Nutter Puffs, Zeilger’s fruit & veggie blend, Goya Plantain Chips, Amazin’ Raisins, and Torie & Howard Fruit Chews. 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can get your first box for just $9.99 (regularly $19.99) — plus FREE shipping! — To score this awesome deal, just use coupon code “CJOFFER18” at checkout!
