Time to review the August 2016 Degustabox!
If you haven’t heard, Degustabox is a new subscription box that sends an assortment of food and drink products to your door every month. Each box will feature at least 10 full-sized products (as well as samples) from a variety of high quality brands. Items can include popcorn, jams, snack bars, beverages, condiments, nut butters, candies, nuts, and more. The mission of Degustabox is to help introduce you to new brands and products for less that you’d pay for them in store. The total value will always exceed the cost of the monthly subscription.
Subscriptions are $19.99/month with free shipping within the US. — For a limited time, you can get your first box for just $9.99 shipped! No coupon code needed. (If the link doesn’t automatically take $10 off, you can use coupon code “8717R” at checkout.)
Let’s see what’s in the August 2016 Degustabox!
Everything was shipped in a BIG (and heavy) box with the Degustabox logo on the side.
A peek inside! — All of the breakables were securely cushioned with bubblewrap.
I didn’t receive an info card/sheet this month, so I’ll just jump right into the goods!
Oregon Chai The Original Chai Tea Latte Mix – A full size box (8 single serve packets) of all natural chai tea latte. Ingredients include tea, honey, vanilla, and spices. Just add hot water and stir.
Loacker Rose of the Dolemites – The box included two boxes of original Rose of the Dolemites — a milk chocolate treat with crispy wafers, chopped hazelnuts, and hazelnut cream. A product of Italy.
Sir Kensington’s Chipotle Mayonnaise – A non-GMO project verified mustard made with all natural ingredients including free range eggs, sunflower oil, tomato paste, chipotle powder, and smoked Spanish paprika. It’s gluten-free and has 33% less saturated fat than traditional mayo.
White Lily White Grape Seed Flour – A resealable(!!) bag of non-GMO flour blend consisting of enriched all purpose wheat flour and white grape seed flour. This unique blend can be used as a cup-for-cup replacement for all purpose wheat flour. (Why don’t ALL flours have resealable bags?! Love it!)
Goetze’s Mini Vanilla Cow Tales – A full size bag of vanilla flavored caramel candy with a rich & creamy center. They’re low fat and made right here in the USA.
Post Honey Bunches of Oats with Real Strawberries – Yep, another FULL SIZE item! — A 13-ounce box of Honey Bunches of Oats made with real strawberry pieces. I’ve never had this cereal and was a little sad to see that it contained dairy. Aw. 🙁
Vermont Smoke & Cure Meat Sticks – Four individually wrapped mini meat sticks were included — 2 Uncured Pepperoni Turkey Sticks and 2 Cracked Pepper Beef & Pork Sticks. All of Vermont Smoke & Cure’s meats are raised without added hormones and are vegetarian fed. The sticks are also gluten-free.
Alo Pulp Free Allure Drink – An all natural aloe vera drink made with aloe vera juice sourced straight from the leaf, as well as mango and mangosteen juice. It’s pulp free, non-GMO, fat free, gluten free, and vegan-friendly.
Instavit Sweet Dreams – An oral sleep spray supplement made with natural ingredients including melatonin and chamomile flower. For occasional sleeplessness, just spritz 1 to 2 sprays into your mouth. Each bottle has up to 10 pear flavored servings.
Goya Maria Cookies – A product of Spain, this “tube” contains roughly seven servings of crunchy tea biscuit type cookies. My fingers were crossed that they would be vegan-friendly, but alas, they were not. sniff
Popchips Cheddar & Sour Cream Potato Ridges – These cheesy chips are heat & pressure popped (never fried) and are made with all natural ingredients. They’re gluten-free and have half the fat of regular fried chips.
Wow! Another absolutely jam-packed offering from Degustabox! Of course I was hoping for more vegan-friendly items (like last month), but that aside the overall variety was great. Oh, and I loved the fact that so many of the items were non-GMO. I wasn’t able to do a cost breakdown this month since I didn’t receive an info sheet, but I’d say it’s certainly worth the $19.99/month cost of the subscription. — Plus, don’t forget you can get your first box for just $9.99 shipped! No coupon code needed. (If the link doesn’t automatically take $10 off, you can use coupon code “8717R” at checkout.)

Definitely worth trying for $9.99 shipped! 😉

Was disappointed with my box. If I had received the instavit sweet dreams I might have been more happy but they were not included in my box nor were they on the included description card. Are they giving extra items to prescription sites to boost ratings?
Wendy Rose
I actually didn’t get a description card in my box, so I’m not sure what’s up. I would contact them to see if it was mistakenly left out.
