Time to review the January 2017 Degustabox!
If you haven’t heard, Degustabox is a new subscription box that sends an assortment of food and drink products to your door every month. Each box will feature at least 10 full-sized products (as well as samples) from a variety of high quality brands. Items can include popcorn, jams, snack bars, beverages, condiments, nut butters, candies, nuts, and more. The mission of Degustabox is to help introduce you to new brands and products for less that you’d pay for them in store. The total value will always exceed the cost of the monthly subscription.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $19.99/month with free shipping within the US. —For a limited time, you can get your first box for just $9.99 shipped! No coupon code needed. (If the link doesn’t automatically take $10 off, you can use coupon code “8717R” at checkout.)
Let’s see what’s in the January 2017 Degustabox!
Everything was shipped in a big box with the Degustabox logo on the side.
A peek inside! — As always, everything was securely packed beneath a layer of air pillows. A few coupons were included on top as well.
An info sheet listed all of the items inside, as well as brief descriptions, photos, and retail prices for each one.
Hungry Jack Pumpkin Spice Pancake Mix ($3.99) – I was a little surprised to see a pumpkin spice flavored item in a January box, but I’m not mad. 😉 In fact, after reading the ingredients list and seeing that this pancake mix is (very) surprisingly vegan-friendly, I’m super stoked to make ’em. 😀
Welch’s Strawberry Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks ($2.99) – These kid-friendly fruit snacks are made with real fruit and creamy yogurt. Each serving has 100% of your recommended daily value of Vitamin C and just 80 calories per pouch.
McDonnells Indian Korma Curry Sauce ($2.99) – A creamy, coconut milk based curry sauce that allows you to create an authentic Indian Korma dish. It’s made in Ireland and one pouch serves up to 2 people.
Jolly Time Healthy Pop Butter Popcorn ($3.49) – This Weight Watchers endorsed popcorn has just 20 calories per cup! It’s also gluten-free and made with 100% whole grain/non-GMO corn. The box contains 3 microwavable pouches, along with a code for a FREE Redbox rental. 🙂
Alo Refresh Lite ($1.99) – An all natural aloe vera drink made with aloe vera juice sourced straight from the leaf, as well as cucumber & cantaloupe juice. It’s pulp free, non-GMO, fat free, gluten free, and vegan-friendly.
Entenmann’s Little Bites Party Cakes (~$1) – This pouch holds 4 mini vanilla cupcakes (muffins?) with rainbow sprinkles. I’m honestly not sure who will want these more — my kids or my husband (he has a thing for “Funfetti” 😉 ).
Prince of Peace Ginger Honey Crystals ($2) – Ooh! I’m looking forward to trying these! — They’re little sachets filled with a blend of cane sugar, ginger, and honey. Sort of like a soothing tea with out the tea part. 😉
Cello Whisps ($3.99) – All natural parmesan cheese crisps made with 100% cheese — nothing more! They contain no preservatives and are wheat & gluten free.
Smart Kids Berry Good Bar ($1.29) – An allergen-free snack bar loaded with whole grains, fruit, seeds, and other wholesome ingredients. It’s both gluten-free and vegan-friendly too. 🙂
Go Organically Fruit Snacks ($3.99) – A FULL box of certified organic fruit snacks made with all natural flavors and colors. They’re also free of GMOs, preservatives, and gluten. Unfortunately (for me & my kiddos), they do contain gelatin. Ah well.
Another nice variety of products from Degustabox! My favorite items this month were the pumpkin spice pancake mix, ginger honey crystals, and allergen-free snack bar. The total value of all the items in January’s box was almost $28. Not quite as high as previous months, but still over the monthly cost of the box. — Remember, for a limited time you can get your first box for just $9.99 shipped! No coupon code needed. (If the link doesn’t automatically take $10 off, you can use coupon code “8717R” at checkout.)

I am very excited about the pancake mix as well. I was not able to find it at any of my local stores when it came out in the fall. I can eat pumpkin spice pancakes/waffles year-round!

I’ve never bothered looking at the ingredients on boxed pancake mix before, so I was completely shocked to see that it was vegan-friendly. 😀 Is this some weird exception or are they commonly vegan?
