I haven’t reviewed DoodleBug Busy Bags since August, so I was excited when they offered me December’s holiday-themed bag for review. I LOVE holiday themed boxes!
DoodleBug Busy Bags is a fun subscription for little ones from Kidable Adventures (the company behind Little Thinker Box). Bags are aimed at children ages 3 through 8 and contain all of the materials needed to complete 4 to 8 fun crafts. Each bag will focus on a different theme, often relating to upcoming holidays or seasons. Monthly subscriptions are $15.99 and include free shipping.
My girls are still a little too young to fully enjoy this subscription, so I’m going to save the projects for next Christmas. However, I did open everything up for the purpose of this review.
Let’s see what was inside!
December’s theme was “Santa’s Little Helper”. A terrible storm hit the North Pole and slowed down toy production (oh no!), so it’s up to your little one to help assemble each project to help Santa get caught up! (No pressure.)
Foam Marshmallow Santa Ornament – How cute is this guy? Your kiddo can make their own little “marshmallow” (foam) Santa using the materials provided. I think this is my favorite project in the bag. The finished project looks so stinkin’ adorable.
Clothespin Reindeer – Uh oh, Rudolph is in pieces. It’s your kiddo’s job to put him together in time for Christmas. Kid-friendly glue dots are included to help them complete this task.
3-D Christmas Tree – An easy project for the youngest of crafters. Simply assemble the paper tree by inserting the two pieces at their respective slots and then use the enclosed holiday stickers to decorate all 8 sides. Easy peasy.
Beaded Heart Ornament – This project takes a little more patience. Green and (tiny) red beads need to be strung onto a pipecleaner, which is then bent into a heart shape. Then you’ll need to help glue on the pearls, pre-made bow, and hanger.
Toy Car – Santa needs help finishing up this toy car. Markers are included for your child to decorate it any way that they choose.
Santa’s Toy Shop – Use the included foam pieces to build Santa’s toy shop! Decorative stickers are also included to make it extra personalized.
I thought December’s DoodleBug Busy Bag was perfect for the holidays! I always loved Christmas-themed crafts when I was little and would have loved to get something like this to work on as the big day approached. The crafts are easy to assemble, super festive, and totally gift-worthy once completed.
