Let’s see what’s in the April 2018 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As always, all of the crafts were shipped in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
All of the crafts were listed on an info sheet, along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. — April’s theme was “Spring” and included a fun collection of seasonally themed crafts and stationery items.
Mosaic Butterfly Sand Art
These sand art kits are always fun to complete. Just peel away one section at a time to reveal the adhesive surface below and sprinkle on the sand color of your choice. Repeat the process until every section is filled with color.
Sprinkle, sprinkle.
Our colorful sand friend!
Spring Bug Craft Stick Ornament Craft Kit
An easy peel-and-stick craft that involves attaching the red popsicle sticks to the bug’s “body”, then finishing up with self adhesive black dots and googly eyes.
I’m not quite sure what she was going for with the dot placement, but it’s her bug so… 😉
All done!
Glitter Mosaic Spring Gnome
My girls love these glittery mosaic projects and I think this is the cutest one yet. — How stinkin’ adorable is that rosy-cheeked gnome? Awww!
These can be quite time consuming, so we all pitched in and completed this one together. Yay, teamwork!
Mr. Gnome is happily hanging on our kitchen wall. 🙂
DIY Flower Garden Sticker Scene
Using the sheet of stickers, your child can decorate the background page to create a colorful flower garden.
Placing her favorites first — the butterflies!
The line of bees up there may or may not be “smelling each other’s butts”. Kids… 😉
Lacing Felt Plush Spring Bird Craft Kit
These felt “plushies” are always a hit with my kids. The lacing part is still a little tricky for them, but they love adding the stuffing and the self-adhesive felt pieces.
Finishing touches.
How “tweet”!
April’s bag also came with a few Spring-themed stationery items and stickers!
Rainbow Glitter Spiral Notepad, Rainbow Pencil, Rainbow & Sunshine Stickers
The girls both tried to claim the notepad for themselves and were excited to try out their new rainbow pencil. I told them how I had them (the pencils) when I was little and LOVED them. I meant to include a photo showing how the pencil writes, but forgot to snap one. Trust me, it’s cool. 😉
Another nice collection of crafts & stationery goodies from DoodleBug Busy Bags! The projects were all easy to complete and the rainbow pencil brought me right back to my own childhood. 🙂 — If you’re interested in subscribing, the May & June bags will include various themes with at least one Mother’s Day craft (May) and one Father’s Day craft (June).
