Let’s see what’s in the April 2019 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As always, all of the crafts were shipped in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
All of the crafts were listed on an info sheet, along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. — April’s theme was “Easter” and included a collection of seasonal crafts to display around your home.
Mini Felt Easter Banner Craft Kit
First up was this sweet mini banner decoration. It featured self-adhesive felt pieces that were to be adhered to the banner, which already had a wooden dowel in place for hanging. Subscribers could have received a bunny, sheep, or chick.
We received the yellow chick version, which included a cute little tuft of “hair” at the top.
All done & ready to hang!
Hip Hop Bunny 3D Craft Kit
These little 3D display kits are always a favorite over here. They’re super simple to complete and make for a cute holiday decoration.
All we had to do was place the self-adhesive foam pieces on the larger display pieces as shown on the instruction sheet. Once decorated, simply insert them into the base to achieve the “3D” effect.
The bunny’s kickin’ it old school this year with that fresh boom box and sleek shades. 😉
Bunny Necklace Craft Kit
Jewelry kits are another favorite with my kids. — They were even more excited when they saw that we got the “girl bunny”.
There were two stages to this particular necklace. First, we needed to assemble the bunny’s body on one of the two included strings (I handled this part). Once the bunny was done, we had to attach it to the second string and then add the ears and remaining beads.
Unfortunately, the string was too thick to fit in the small holes on the plastic clasps that would be needed to fasten the necklace. Since the string was too short to fit over either of the girl’s heads when tied, I ended up turning it into a festive “ornament” instead. 😉
Not exactly a necklace, but cute nonetheless.
Bunny Pop-Up Craft Kit
I had completely forgotten about these “pop-up” toys until seeing one again in this kit. I used to LOVE these things when I was little. Needless to say, I was excited for my girls to create their own and revisit a tiny part of my youth in the process.
The craft simply required us to decorate the bunny using the self-adhesive foam pieces, then sandwich the plastic “popper” between the two main (also self-adhesive) bunny shapes.
I just realized that his foot is upside-down. Oops! — That didn’t stop him from popping (hopping?) though. It was just as fun as I remembered. 🙂
Corrugated Cardboard Easter Character
This kit featured peel-n-stick pieces made from three different materials — felt, sparkly foam, and corrugated cardboard.
Sticking on the “potato chip” belly.
Not sure what’s going on with his beak/mouth(?), but he’s cool. 😉
Craft Stick Easter Egg Craft Kit
Another peel-n-stick kit, this one included wooden craft sticks and colored foam pieces.
First, we had to place the sticks on the self-adhesive foam egg shape.
Then… decorate!
It almost looks more like a Christmas tree. Ah well.
Doodle Animal Easter Sticker Scene
Using the sheet of stickers, your child can decorate the background page to create a festive Easter scene.
Finishing up.
Such a colorful scene!
Yet another fun assortment of seasonal crafts from DoodleBug Busy Bags! My girls enjoyed completing all of the projects, but I think the bunny popper was their favorite (mine too!). 🙂 — If you’re interested in subscribing to DoodleBug Busy Bags, May-September will include a variety of different non-themed crafts.
