Let’s see what’s in the February 2017 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As always, all of the crafts were shipped in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
All of the crafts were listed on info sheet, along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. — February’s theme was “Share the Love” and included an assortment of Valentine’s Day crafts that your child could make to share with others.
Foam Love Bug Mobile Craft Kit
One of my girls is obsessed with butterflies, so I knew she’d be all about this craft. Since it involved tying knots (which she hasn’t learned yet), I did most of the work. She didn’t mind though and was just happy to play with once it was all done.
I swear she was more excited about it than she looks in the photo above. 😉
It turned out SO cute!
Foam Emoticon Heart Magnet Craft Kit
We always like getting these easy magnet crafts. Just peel & stick the foam pieces into place and slap the finished product on the fridge. I was happy to see that they included double-sided tape to attach to the magnet this time. In past kits we’ve gotten, the magnet itself was self-adhesive and just didn’t stick very well. This worked much better.
Heart eyes! (Literally.)
He’s SO happy. Awww.
DIY Unfinished Wood Heart Ornament
I loved that they included a craft that allowed full creative freedom. — Just an unfinished wood heart and a set of markers for your child to decorate any way they wished.
Hard at work on her masterpiece…
I LOVE how it turned out! — So bright & colorful. 🙂
Lacing Felt Plush Conversation Heart Craft Kit
I think this is the third month in a row that we’ve gotten one of these lacing kits, so we’re growing quite the little collection. The girls are still learning how to properly lace, so it’s good practice. Plus, these things are super cute.
Lacin’. (She got about halfway done when I realized that the string wasn’t going to be long enough due to the way she was doubling up on some of the holes. I took it all out and started over, only to still end up with a lack of string at the end. Ah well.)
Decorating the heart before I went back to re-lace.
Even though the string didn’t quite make it all the way around without skipping a few holes at the end, it still turned out pretty well.
Peanuts Love of Friends Sticker Scene
Peanuts! We had just watched the Charlie Brown Valentine’s Day special the night before, so this came at the perfect time.
She refused to believe that Woodstock is a bird. Ha. He really doesn’t have much of a beak, so I can see her point.
I was surprised that she actually knew/remembered that Snoopy likes to sit on his house.
Heart Flower Ornament Craft Kit
Another easy craft involving placing peel-n-stick foam pieces into the correct spots to make a happy flower ornament. I didn’t notice until we started doing the craft, but we were missing the little bee that sits on top of the flower and is the reason for the “Bee Mine” heart sticker.
Adding the last piece.
No bee, but he still looks happy.
Wood Heart Bead Necklace Craft Kit
Necklaces are another favorite craft that my girls are always excited to see in their DoodleBug Busy Bags. This one was perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Stringin’ the beads.
So pretty!
Once again, another fun assortment of crafts from DoodleBug Busy Bags! My personal favorite this time was the wooden heart ornament that I’ll be holding onto and displaying at Valentine’s Day for years to come. <3 My girls, on the other hand, were happy with them ALL. 😉
