Let’s see what’s in the July 2018 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As always, all of the crafts were shipped in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
All of the crafts were listed on an info sheet, along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. — July’s theme was “Crafting Fun” and included a collection of non-themed crafts.
Tropical Shell Craft Kit
Your child could customize their own little sea creature with this easy craft. Simply color (with markers) or paint the plaster shell and attach it to the foam cut-out. Stick on the self-adhesive googly eye and you’re done!
Washable markers probably weren’t the most ideal choice for this project, but there was no mess. 😉
So colorful!
Sand Art Craft
This wasn’t listed on the info sheet, so I’m not sure if it’s a bonus or they just forgot to mention it. Either way, we were happy to see it. Sand art is always a fun (and kind of relaxing) project.
Sprinkle, sprinkle.
All done!
Foam Ocean Animal Mask Craft Kit
A simple craft that involved adhering self-adhesive teeth and an elastic string to make a shark mask.
Poking out the holes where the string will be placed.
Ahhh! — A shark! With bedhead!
Craft Tube Totem Pole Craft Kit
Another easy craft that simply required your child to place the self-adhesive foam pieces onto the paper tube “totem pole”.
Affixing the “eyebrows”.
I gotta say, those “eyebrows” were a really good call on her part. 😉
Glitter Mosaic Tropical Parrot
I think everyone knows how I feel about glitter at this point (not a fan), but I’ve learned to just go with the flow during these particular projects. (And thoroughly vacuum/shake out the play mat immediately afterwards. 😉 )
The girls both fought over who would go first (they take turns doing each color), but after a few minutes one of them wanted to do something else. Instead of taking advantage of this and doing the whole project herself, the other one decided she didn’t want to do it either. Kids…
3D Frog on a Lily Pad Floating Craft Kit
I saved the best — and cutest — project for last! This little froggy was not only easy to complete, but he also floats. Fun!
Giving froggy the gift of sight.
So stinkin’ CUTE!!
More easy to assemble crafts from our friends at DoodleBug Busy Bags! — If you’re interested in subscribing, the August & September bags won’t have any dedicated themes. However, October’s will be Halloween, November – Thanksgiving/Fall, December – Christmas, and January – Winter.
