Let’s see what’s in the September 2017 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As always, all of the crafts were shipped in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
All of the crafts were listed on info sheet, along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. — September’s theme was “Camping Adventure” and included an assortment of fun camping/nature themed projects.
Foam 3D Camp Scene Craft Kit
These easy to assemble 3D foam scenes are always a hit with my girls, so I wasn’t surprised when this was the first project they wanted to complete. You just follow the steps on the info sheet to create a cute little camping scene.
Hard at work “planting” the trees.
I love the finished product! — Almost feels like it was a scene out of Yo Gabba Gabba. 🙂
Craft Stick Campfire Ornament Kit
A little foam campfire ornament, complete with white “marshmallow” beads for roasting. Though not pictured here, glue dots were also included to attach the pipecleaner “stick”.
We ran out of glue dots (used them for the wrong part), so we improvised by tucking the pipecleaner stick under part of the self-adhesive flames.
Hey, who hasn’t caught their stick on fire while roasting marshmallows? 😉
Paper Bag Owl Craft Kit
Turn a plain paper bag into a sweet lil’ owl friend with the materials provided in this self-adhesive foam & paper kit.
Giving him the gift of sight.
Our brand new, wonky-eyed owl friend!
3D Canoe Craft
This 3D canoe craft was a little tricky, in that it didn’t exactly explain how to lace it together using the single string that was provided. That said, I ended up doing this project myself to avoid any impending meltdowns. 😉
Not too shabby. According to the info sheet, the canoe will actually float. Cool!
Camping is a Hoot Foam Sign Craft Kit
Just when I thought this was going to be another gloriously glitter-free month… Ha! Ah well, at least it’s just a small detail in the overall project. (Glitter phobia is real, folks! 😉 )
Erecting the all-important “camp” sign.
While I don’t quite agree with the sentiment (my bed is way more comfortable, thanks), I do think the completed sign is adorable. 🙂
Mini Camping Sticker Scenes
Instead of a single standard sized one, two mini sticker scenes were included this month.
“The butterflies are having lunch!”
Hello, Mr. Sun.
Lots of… interesting things are going on at these campgrounds. 😉
Yet another fun collection of themed crafts from DoodleBug Busy Bag! Our favorites this month were the 3D camp scene, paper bag owl, foam craft sign, and sticker scene sheets. 🙂 — Upcoming themes include “Halloween” (October), “Fall and/or Thanksgiving” (November), and “Christmas” (December).
