I wouldn’t say I’m looking forward to reading this selection, but I’ll at least give it a lengthy skim. 😉
Guru Upcycled Sari Kimono ($110 value)
This incredibly colorful robe was handcrafted from upcycled fair trade Ragsulla saris — meaning each piece is 100% one of a kind. The saris — main mostly of bamboo viscose or artificial silk — were collected by bartering with Indian villages and may have a few minor imperfections adding to the uniqueness of this garment. The robe is one size fits most and features two front pockets, elasticized openings at the sleeves, and a removable tasseled belt.
Full Circle Bamboo Utensil Set ($15 value)
Made from recycled plastic bottles, this cute ocean-inspired pouch holds a set of bamboo utensils that’s perfect for taking on the go. The pouch itself measures roughly 8 inches long by 2 inches wide, with each utensil being a bit less than 8 inches in length. Eliminate the need for single-use utensils by taking this along on picnics, camping trips, traveling, or day trips to the beach.
Tezahn Ginger & Jaggery Cold Infusion ($8 value)
This box of cold infusion tea includes 10 sachets designed to keep you uplifted, rejuvenated, and hydrated throughout your day. Each sachet contains a blend of Tulsi (Holy Basil), ginger, jaggery, cardamom, edible camphor, nutmeg, cloves, and mace. To use, simply drop a bag into water, shake, let sit for 5 minutes, and enjoy.
Net Zero 4-Piece Storage Bag Set ($47.96 value)
Reusable storage bags are kind of “in” now (I received a similar set in another subscription recently), so I wasn’t surprised to see these in the Summer 2021 Earthbox. The set contains 4 bags — 1 small (17 oz), 2 medium (35 oz), and 1 large (50 oz). Each one is made of FDA-approved food grade silicone that’s both dishwasher- and microwave-safe. They also feature a writable surface with imprinted measurements, a base that allows them to stand upright, and rounded corners for easy cleaning. In all honesty, I’m not impressed with these so far as I haven’t been able to even remove the sliding(?) plastic seals to get them open. My husband also didn’t have any luck. :/ For nearly $50, I would think they would be a lot more user-friendly.
Stream2Sea Sun & Sting Soothing Gel ($12.95 value)
My kiddos and I always get our fair share of bug bites (and other skin irritations) in the summer, so a “sun & sting” relief gel is a welcome product in our home. This soothing gel helps to ease the effects of sunburn, insect bites, painful underwater stings, and various types of skin irritation. It’s non-greasy, fast-absorbing, biodegradable and formulated without the use of parabens, phthalates, dyes, or sodium laurel sulfate.
Plant Based Beauty Avocado & Algae Face Mask & Spoon ($22 value)
Infused with superfoods including avocado, spirulina and moringa, this vitamin-rich face mask will leave your face glowing and hydrated. To use, simply place 1-2 scoops of powder into your palm & mix with equal amount of water to create a paste. Apply to face for 5 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
The Summer 2021 Earthlove Box included a nice assortment of useful eco-friendly products that can easily work themselves into your daily routine. My favorite items were the Guru Upcycled Sari Robe, Stream2Sea Sun & Sting Soothing Gel, Tezahn Ginger & Jaggery Cold Infusion, and Full Circle Cutlery Set. The total retail value of everything in this quarter’s box was an impressive $230.90! 😀 — Remember, for a limited time you can save $5 on your first box with coupon code “LOVETHEEARTH“!
