January 2017 Ecocentric Mom review time!
If you’re unaware, Ecocentric Mom is a unique subscription box that features mom & baby products that are eco-friendly, natural, organic, and often vegan-friendly. There are 3 different box options to choose from: The “Mom & Baby” box (for moms & babies up to 18 months), “Mom-to-Be Box” (for the expecting mom), and just plain ol’ “Mom” box. They also offer an “Ecocentric Box” for women in general (moms and non-moms alike!).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $24.95/month, or less with multi-month commitments. You can choose to receive boxes monthly or every-other-month. Shipping is free. — For a limited time, you can save 40% on your first box with coupon code “ECOHOLIDAY“!
Let’s see what’s in the January 2017 Ecocentric Mom “Mom” Box!
The box! — It went through a bit of trauma on the way, but thankfully its contents were unharmed. 🙂
A peek inside.
The 2-sided info card listed all of the items in the box, along with a brief description and retail values for each one. Exclusive discounts were also included to use on future purchases.
Kala Coconut Oil ($20)
Coconut oil has a gazillion uses, so this tube will surely come in handy. Kala coconut oil is raw, organic, unrefined, non-GMO, fair trade, cold-pressed, and super easy to use (whether in its liquid or solid state) thanks to this squeezable tube. Try it as a hand cream, massage oil, teeth whitener, after sun treatment, shaving oil, makeup remover, and so much more!
American Provenance Essential Oil Lip Balm ($3)
This preservative-free lip balm is made with all natural ingredients including mango butter, beeswax, shea butter, almond oil, vitamin E, and pure essential oils.
American Provenance Pinups & Paramours Natural Deodorant ($7.75)
I’ve tried lots of natural deodorants but they’re never quite as effective as I hoped they’d be. Fingers crossed that this one will be different! It’s 100% aluminum-free and contains no harsh chemicals or known carcinogens. “Pinups & Paramours” features the scents of coriander, mandarin & tangerine and it smells fantastic.
Three Bluebirds Swedish Dishcloth ($6.95)
This single Swedish dishcloth does the work of 17 rolls of paper towels! It’s made of a durable blend of 70% wood cellulose from FSC certified forests and 30% cotton. After use, just toss it in the washing machine or dishwasher to clean — which can be done up to 200 times. Cool!
Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub ($10)
A microdermabrasion scrub that’s 100% vegan formula uses an exclusive crystal blend including dead sea salt and volcanic sand to buff away dull surface cells, help diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars, and absorb excess skin oils. It’s free of icky stuff including parabens, petrolatum, mineral oil, GMOs, gluten, and soy.
Chuao Enamored Collection Raspberry Rose Chocolate Bar ($1.50)
I just devoured this (so I could give a fair review, of course 😉 ) and it was delicious! The little pieces of dried raspberries gave the dark chocolate a nice crunch. So good!
Brigit True Organics Hand Cream ($3)
This hand cream is made in small batches using 95% organic ingredients including calendula oil, shea butter, extra virgin olive oil, and essential oils of lavender, clary sage, lemon & geranium. It’s designed especially for dry, sensitive skin.
Orange House Dish Soap & Liquid Laundry Detergent (samples)
Two samples of Orange House cleaning products were included — dish soap and laundry detergent. Both are non-toxic, biodegradable, and USDA certified biobased.
Another great offering from Ecocentric Mom! My favorite items this time were the Swedish towel, natural deodorant, coconut oil, and vegan-friendly chocolate. 🙂 The total retail value of everything in January’s box was over $52. — Remember, for a limited time you can save 40% on your first box with coupon code “ECOHOLIDAY“!
