A full-color magazine style booklet provided details on all of the items/variations included in the Summer 2020 FabFitFun box, along with style tips, interviews, and more.
Draper James Straw Bag with Floral Scarf (Retail Value $75)
Subscribers were able to choose from the Draper James Straw Bag above, L Space Tie Dye Towel (Retail Value $58), Pottery Barn Mason Diffuser (Retail Value $59), LashesMD Eyelash Conditioner (Retail Value $69.95), Yumi Kim Wireless Charging Pad (Retail Value $35), or Dr. Brandt Do Not Age Triple Peptide Eye Cream (Retail Value $82). Honestly, the bag isn’t something I would have ever purchased on my own, but I kinda love it! It’s a lot roomier than I thought it would be and it’s a perfect “grab & go” bag for the summer. Also, the scarf is removable so you can swap it out for a different one and/or wear it as an actual scarf or even a fun hair accessory.
Business & Pleasure Co Cooler Bag (Retail Value $69)
The second customization option allowed subscribers to choose from the cooler bag above, an Isaac Mizrahi Blue and White Kimono (Retail Value $59), Michael Kors Bedford Travel Passport Wallet (Retail Value $78), R+Co Television Shampoo & Conditioner Duo (Retail Value $62), or HydroPeptide Moisture Reset Face Oil (Retail Value $120). Since I wasn’t crazy about any of the other options, the cooler was an easy choice for me. Plus, it’s super cute & summery! I like that it has two ways to carry it — over your shoulder with the long adjustable strap in the center, or in your hands with the traditional shorter handles (that snap together).
The Giving Keys Mini Key Necklace (Retail Value $45)
The third customization option included the necklace above, COOLA Mineral Face Organic Matte Finish Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 (Retail Value $36), Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream (Retail Value $50), TOMS Sydney Sunglasses (Retail Value $68), Drybar Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler (Retail Value $24), or Blaq 5 Pack Hydrogel Eye Masks & Peel of Mask Duo (Retail Value $52). Like the last category of items, this was an easy pick for me. — Especially since the necklace was silver (as opposed to gold in the initial spoiler photos). You can’t quite see it in the photos above, but the tiny key charm is engraved with the word “believe”. It’s hung on a 16″ inch chain that can extend to 18″ total. The Giving Keys “encourages you to embrace your word and then Pay It Forward to someone who needs it more than you when the time is right”. All of their products are packaged in Downtown Los Angeles by those transitioning out of homelessness.
Silked Satin Pillow Sleeve (Retail Value $29.50)
The fourth customization was for annual members only and was a choice between the pillow sleeve above, Zoe Ayla Ice Roller (Retail Value $34.99), or Terre Mere Aloe and Tea Tree Toner (Retail Value $54). This was the first category where none of the items really called to me, so I went with the pillow sleeve as it was the most practical of the bunch. “Silked” fabrics like this (though it’s actually polyester) are said to reduce bedhead and prevent creases on the skin. While I wish it was an actual case instead of a sleeve, I’ll still give it a go.
Isaac Mizrahi Loves xo, Sienna Vase (Retail Value $28)
The final (annual subscriber only) customization was between the vase above, Grace & Stella Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum (Retail Value $25), The Lyfestyle Co. Beach Mist (Retail Value $42), or amika Bombshell Blowout Spray (Retail Value $25). If there’s a non-beauty item among skin/hair products, 99.9% of the time that’s the thing I’m going to pick. Especially when said item is a sweet little hand-dipped pink & white vase. Even the box is cute!
Winky Lux Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil (Retail Value: $16)
The last 3 items in the box were chosen by FabFitFun. (Subscribers received 3 of 7 different options.) The items I didn’t receive were Riddle Oil Original Roll On (Retail Value $50), MakeupDrop Hybrid Makeup Applicator (Retail Value $20), Murad Essential-C Cleanser (Retail Value $40), and Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Gold Eye Mask 6 Pack (Retail Value $25). I was actually happy to get the universal eyebrow pencil above, as it’s one of the few makeup products I use on a daily basis. Score!
Spongellé Coconut Verbena Hand Cream (Retail Value: $18)
Hand cream is also something that I use on a daily (well, nightly) basis, so I was happy with this “randomly selected” choice too. Its moisturizing formula is enriched with hyaluronic acid, shea butter, argan and macadamia seed oils. Scent notes include coconut, peach, jasmine, amber, and lemon. Anything jasmine-scented is an automatic winner in my book. 🙂
Cali Cosmetics Foot Cream with Menthol in Tarocco (Retail Value: $24)
I don’t normally have a need for foot cream, but my husband often slathers regular ol’ Jergens on his dry feet so I’m thinking this could be a nice upgrade. 😉 This is formulated with a combination of menthol and olive oil to heal, hydrate, and refresh dry/cracked feet.
The Summer 2020 FabFitFun box was one of my favorites to date! It had plenty of summer vibes and almost every category had an option I was excited to choose. My personal favorites this season were the Draper James bag, Business & Pleasure Cooler Bag, The Giving Keys Necklace, Isaac Mizrahi Vase, and Winky Lux Brow Pencil.
