February 2017 Fit Snack unboxing time!
If you’re new to them, Fit Snack is a snack subscription box that’s curated to include items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10″. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy (yet satisfying) items that have total retail value of at least $30. While most of the items fall into the “snack” category, they also send cooking mixes, supplements, beverages, and more.
Subscriptions are $24/month (shipping included), or less with longer, multi-month commitments. It also looks like they ship worldwide. If you join Fit Snack using my link, you’ll save $3 on your first box!
Let’s see what’s in the February 2017 Fit Snack box!
The familiar white & turquoise box.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the snacks, as well as accompanying photos, short descriptions, and a few discount codes.
Beanitos Black Bean Chips
Yes!! I love me some bean chips and was happy to see a vegan flavor included in the box. — Two bags of ’em even! These are made with just four simple ingredients: Whole black beans, pure sunflower oil, long grain rice, and sea salt.
Amsety Bar in Peanut Butter
Amsety Bar is the first nutrition bar to help support liver health. It’s made with organic, non-GMO ingredients and contains no refined sugar, sodium, or gluten. It’s also dairy-free and vegan-friendly.
Tickle Water Fizz for Kidz in Green Apple
This naturally flavored sparkling water was created just for kids. It’s lightly carbonated & is free of sugar, sodium, artificial sweeteners, and preservatives.
Run Performance Gum
An “energy gum” packed with B-Vitamins and taurine to give you a zero-calorie, sugar free performance maximizing boost. Each piece package has 100mg of caffeine — the equivalent of an 8oz energy drink or cup of coffee.
Kakookies
These cookies are made with superfoods including chia seeds, ground flaxseed, oats, apples, blueberries, cranberries, and other wholesome ingredients. Each one of them looks absolutely delicious, so I was thrilled to find that they’re all vegan-friendly as well as gluten-free. Three flavors were included in the box (2 were bonuses) — Boundary Waters Blueberry, Almond Cranberry Breakfast Cookie, and Dark Chocolate Cranberry. Yum!
Field Trip Cracked Pepper Turkey Stick
A premium meat stick made with free range turkey. It’s gluten-free, soy-free and contains no added hormones.
VitaFive Vitamins
VitaFive is a subscription service that sends you a supply of personalized gummy vitamins on a monthly basis. They even have vegan options! Included were two packets of CoQ10 gummies.
Aside from the turkey stick, February’s Fit Snack box was almost entirely vegan-friendly. 😀 My favorite items were definitely the Beanitos and Kakookies. — If you’d like to try Fit Snack out for yourself, they’ve kindly given me a special discount to share with my readers.
