February 2018 Fit Snack review time!
If you’re new to them, Fit Snack is a snack subscription box that’s curated to include items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10″. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy (yet satisfying) items that have total retail value of at least $30. While most of the items fall into the “snack” category, they also send cooking mixes, supplements, beverages, and more.
Subscriptions are $24/month (shipping included), or less with longer, multi-month commitments. It also looks like they ship worldwide. — For a limited time, you can save $3 on your first box! No coupon needed, just click this link.
Let’s see what’s in the February 2018 Fit Snack box!
The familiar white & turquoise box was shipped via Priority Mail.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the snacks, as well as accompanying photos, short descriptions, and a few discount codes.
Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts
I first discovered these shelled hemp seeds in a subscription box a few years back. They’re great for sprinkling on cereal, yogurt, and salads for a healthy dose of plant-based protein. I also like to toss a bit in my smoothies for added nutrition. Each 3 tbsp serving has 10 grams of both protein and omega 3 & 6!
Skratch Labs Anytime Energy Bar
I received one of these bars (different flavor) in another snack subscription box last month and really enjoyed it. This vegan-friendly energy bar features a blend of dried cherries, pistachios, cashew butter, oats, and other natural ingredients to help you fuel through your day.
Vegi Rice Sweet Potato Rice
A low-carb alternative to rice that’s made with 100% vegetables — sweet potatoes — and nothing more. It has 61% fewer calories per serving than white rice and just 100 calories & 19 grams of carbs. It also has 6 grams of fiber and is both gluten-free & vegan-friendly.
Justin’s Classic Almond Butter
Justin’s almond butter is all natural, gluten-free, vegan, and delicious. These single-serve squeeze packs are great to have on hand for taking on the go or enjoying a pre-portioned snack when you’re counting calories.
Freedom Bars
These healthy snack bars are made with wholesome ingredients and contain no added sugar, additives, or preservatives. They’re also vegan, soy free, non-GMO, and gluten-free. Two flavors were included: Peanut Butter and Apple Cinnamon.
Fizzique Sparkling Protein Water
A refreshing, fruit-flavored protein drink with 90 calories, 20g protein and 2g net carbs per serving. It helps to satisfy your hunger between meals and contains absolutely no sugar, gluten, lactose, fat, or artificial colors/sweeteners/preservatives. (It also has a very clever name. 😉 )
Protes Salted Caramel Protein Chips
Baked protein chips made with plant-based ingredients including pea protein, potato flakes, and seasonings. Each serving contains just 120 calories and an impressive 15 grams of protein & 3 grams of fiber.
SPORTea
The last item was a trio of SPORTea samples. This tea is designed to give you sustained energy, less stress, and a quenched thirst.
Another nice selection of healthy snacks, pantry staples, drinks, and more from Fit Snack! My favorite items this time were the full size bag of Hemp Hearts, Skratch energy bar, Justin’s almond butter, and Vegi Rice. 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can save $3 on your first box!
