My July Fit Snack arrived a little later than usual, but it ended up being one of my favorite boxes they’ve sent, so it was worth the wait.
If you’re new to them, Fit Snack is a snack subscription box that’s curated to include items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10″. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).
Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy (yet satisfying) items that have total retail value of at least $30. While most of the items fall into the “snack” category, they also send cooking mixes, oils, and the like.
Subscriptions are $24/month (shipping included), or less with longer, multi-month commitments. It also looks like they ship worldwide. If you join Fit Snack using my link, you’ll save $3 on your first box!
Let’s see what’s in the July Fit Snack box!
The info card listed all of the snacks, as well as short descriptions and a few discount codes.
Columbia County Fruit & Berry Flax Granola – This is one BIG bag of granola! Instead of the usual granola fare (like oats & grains), it consists mostly of flax seeds. The flax acts as a digestive aid and can help with weight loss. It’s handmade with all natural, non-GMO ingredients and is 100% vegan. Yeah!
Level Protein Snack Bars in Double Chocolatey Chip – I was surprised to see a full box of bars, as opposed to a single one. Very cool. These low carb bars are packed with protein and designed to help control high blood sugar & lose weight. They’re also gluten free. They look delicious, but sadly they’re not vegan.
Honey Stinger Organic Energy Chews in Pink Lemonade – I’ve had these gelatin-free gummies in another snack box and they’re pretty tasty. They’re made with organic ingredients and have 100% of your daily recommendation of vitamin C.
Yummari Endurance Bite in Coconut – A healthy endurance snack made with organic, non-GMO ingredients. It provides plant-based omega 3, protein, and potassium to keep you going. It’s also both vegan and gluten-free.
Skinny Pop Popcorn – I’m pretty sure I’ve had this before and I’m pretty sure it’s awesome. This preservative-free, non-GMO popcorn has just 100 calories per bag so you can snack guilt-free.
Trophy Nut Oven Roasted Peanuts – Mmm… Oven-roasted peanuts! These are processed without using any oils and contain only peanuts and sea salt.
Musclewerks DeTrim Capsules – I never use weight loss products and in general I think samples of them are kinda pointless. How are you going to know if they have any effect with just one “dose”? That said, this is listed as a “Bonus Item” on the info card, so that’s cool.
Justin’s Maple Almond Butter – I love these little single-serve nut butter packs. Perfect for a quick snack or throwing into a smoothie.
July’s Fit Snack was probably my favorite one to date. It was nice to see a full-sized box of energy bars and that huge bag of granola. Many of the items were vegan as well, which I was obviously happy to see. 🙂
