July 2016 Fit Snack unboxing time!
If you’re new to them, Fit Snack is a snack subscription box that’s curated to include items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10″. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).
Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy (yet satisfying) items that have total retail value of at least $30. While most of the items fall into the “snack” category, they also send cooking mixes, oils, and the like.
Subscriptions are $24/month (shipping included), or less with longer, multi-month commitments. It also looks like they ship worldwide. If you join Fit Snack using my link, you’ll save $3 on your first box!
Let’s see what’s in the July 2016 Fit Snack box!
The box!
A peek inside.
An info card listed all of the snacks, as well as accompanying photos, short descriptions, and a few discount codes.
Chosen Foods Chia Bites – Two different flavors of Chia Bites were included in July’s box: Mango & Vanilla. Both varieties are made with superfoods and packed with protein, fiber, & plant-based omega 3’s. They’re also vegan & gluten-free.
Emerald Essentials Action Whey Peanut Butter Delight Bar – Woah. This single bar has 40% of your recommended daily allowance of protein and a crazy impressive 80% RDA of fiber. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one single product with that much fiber per serving!
Nutryttiva Banana Bar – A 100% natural snack bar made with bananas, sugar, cinnamon, and lime juice. It’s vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO.
Fortified Nutrition Harvest Stick – An artisan meat snack made with beef, uncured bacon, apples, and other natural ingredients.
Love Grown Foods Fruity Sea Stars – My kids devoured these little stars! — Little did they know that they’re made with a blend of navy beans, garbanzo beans, lentils, and brown rice. They’re also naturally flavored and colored with fruits & veggies. We’ve already bought ourselves a full box. 🙂
LifeAid Focus Aid – A doctor developed supplement drink made with all natural ingredients. It contains no artificial flavors, sweeteners, or colors and has just 45 calories per serving.
ArrowBar Chocolate Chip Performance Bar – This gluten-free performance bar is made with organic oats and other high quality ingredients including natural almond butter, organic crispy rice, and organic honey. It has 4 grams of both fiber and protein per serving.
Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts – These raw shelled hemp seeds are great for sprinkling on cereal, yogurt, and salads for a healthy dose of plant-based protein. I also like to toss a bit in my smoothies for added nutrition.
RW Garcia 3 Seed Sweet Potato Crackers – I love RW Garcia chips! I’ve tried a lot of their different varieties and they’ve all been really good. These ones are made with sweet potatoes, chia seeds, flaxseed, sesame seeds, and other natural ingredients. So good!
VitaFive Vitamins – The info card listed this as a bonus item. VitaFive is a subscription service that sends you a supply of personalized gummy vitamins on a monthly basis. They even have vegan options! (You can get your first 2 weeks for free with coupon code “fit50“.)
I really liked this month’s Fit Snack offering. There were lots of vegan-friendly items and it just seemed more “full” this time around. 🙂 — If you’d like to try it out for yourself, they’ve kindly given me a special discount to share with my readers.
