March 2017 Fit Snack unboxing time!
If you’re new to them, Fit Snack is a snack subscription box that’s curated to include items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10″. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy (yet satisfying) items that have total retail value of at least $30. While most of the items fall into the “snack” category, they also send cooking mixes, supplements, beverages, and more.
Subscriptions are $24/month (shipping included), or less with longer, multi-month commitments. It also looks like they ship worldwide. If you join Fit Snack using my link, you’ll save $3 on your first box!
Let’s see what’s in the March 2017 Fit Snack box!
The familiar white & turquoise box was shipped via Priority Mail.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the snacks, as well as accompanying photos, short descriptions, and a few discount codes.
Purely Elizabeth Granola & Puffs Cereal
An ancient grain cereal made with organic granola clusters, puffed amaranth, millet flakes, chia seeds, millet puffs, and other non-GMO ingredients. It’s lightly sweetened with coconut sugar and is both vegan-friendly and gluten-free. Just shake, pour in some milk, and you’re good to go.
Bricks Organic Beef, Carrot, Apple & Hemp Seed Bar
This 100% grass fed beef bar is made using organic beef raised without antibiotics or hormones. It also includes diced carrots, chopped apples, raw hemp seeds, spices, and other natural ingredients. A single bar has only 100 calories and 9 grams of protein.
Charge On Salted Caramel Cashew Bar
An energizing protein bar made with ingredients including white chocolate, almonds, cashews, coconut oil, and sweetened with Stevia. Each bar packs an impressive 20 grams of protein! — These won’t be available for purchase until March 28th, so Fit Snack subscribers are among the first to try them. Cool!
Pep Pods
These sugar-free, low-calorie pods are designed to give you a dose of nutrient rich energy in a convenient little tablet. They’re formulated with over 75 plant-derived trace minerals with vitamins, electrolytes, amino acids, and a little caffeine. Just drop one pod into water, let dissolve, and enjoy.
Rise Buddy Baked Rice Snacks
A healthier alternative to regular potato chips, these Rise Buddy snacks are made with brown rice and are baked, not fried. They’re also gluten-free and vegan friendly. 🙂
LifeAid Thrive
A doctor developed supplement drink made with all natural ingredients. It contains no artificial flavors, sweeteners, or colors and has just 45 calories per serving.
Your Super Foods Power Matcha
A raw, vegan superfood mix made with matcha, maca, moringa, wheatgrass, and barley grass powder. I definitely would have tossed this in a smoothie, but unfortunately my packet had opened up during transit and most of it was spilled out. Ah well.
VitaFive Vitamins
VitaFive is a subscription service that sends you a supply of personalized gummy vitamins on a monthly basis. They even have vegan options! Included were two samples of Calcium & D3 gummies.
I didn’t quite enjoy March’s Fit Snack box as much as the previous few months, but mainly because of the lack of vegan-friendly items this time. Obviously, that’s most likely not the case for the majority of their subscribers. My favorite items were probably the superfood cereal and the rice snacks. — If you’d like to try Fit Snack out for yourself, they’ve kindly given me a special discount to share with my readers.
