FrightCasket is a brand new subscription box that delivers a little dose of spookiness to your door every month. Members receive a black casket-shaped box (so cool!) full of fun goodies like costume pieces, decorations, edibles, postcards, art, and more.
You can purchase a one-time box for $19.99 (shipping included), a 6-month subscription for $99, or an annual subscription for $199 (you’ll get a 13th box free!).
FrightCasket was nice enough to send me their very first box for review. I had no idea what I’d find inside, so I was super excited to see it on my doorstep over the weekend.
The box! How cool is that?! It was actually shipped in a large brown “normal” box and then padded in bubble wrap to keep the casket in tact.
Another view, cause it’s just that cool.
A peek inside… So Halloween-y!
Pumpkin Man Figurine & Skeleton Dude – The theme for this month’s box is appropriately “Trick or Treat” and includes items to remind you of Halloweens of your past. This pumpkin guy and skeleton are just fun little decorations to get you in the spirit.
Stickers – Three little boxes of spooky stickers were included. I would have loved to get something like this in my Trick-or-Treating haul. I was always all about the houses that gave out silly, non-candy things. Well, that and full-sized bars. Though I think that was more of an unfounded rumor in my particular neighborhood, cos I never got one. *sniff*
Longbottom Coffee & Tea Sweet Espresso – Okay, so I totally wasn’t expecting a big ol’ bag of coffee beans in this box casket. It retails for around $10 on their site, so it’s cool they included something so pricey, buuut, kind of a bummer if you’re not a coffee drinker. (I am, but still haven’t gotten around to figuring out the whole grinding beans thing. Soon though.)
Candles, Glow Sticks, Glow-in-the-Dark Flies – Oh man, plastic bugs. I’m a little embarrassed to admit how much I loved plastic insects when I was little. (I was a weird kid.) Tea lights and glow sticks are definitely needed to create a truly spooktastic setting.
Giant Lollipop – Can’t get much more festive than a gigantic lollipop. Does anyone ever actually finish these things? So. Much. Sugar.
Blood Bites – Glow-in-the-dark fangs with a bag of “blood” (liquid candy). I thought these were wax lips at first, and I kinda wish they were. Wax lips always made an appearance in the Halloweens of my youth. (Wow, that made me sound like I’m 70… Get off my lawn!!)
Other Stuff – Glittery Halloween cut-outs, a tiny metal key(?), and a stretchy bracelet with (blood!) red beads.
FrightCasket was a fun box to go through. I liked not knowing what I’d pull out next. The coffee still seems like an odd inclusion, but the site does say that boxes can include edibles and other treats. I just feel like non-coffee drinkers might be a little disappointed, but I guess you can’t please everyone, right?
I believe the October box is sold out, but you can sign up for November’s box if you act fast!

I got whole coffee beans in a box once. Target sells a bean grinder for about $10-15 ☺ And I like the new summary at the end!
