Fuego Box is a hot sauce club that introduces you to a new selection of sauces every month.
When you subscribe, you’ll receive the best artisanal/small batch hot sauces on the market. Instead of focusing on gimmicky labeling or straight up crazy heat, they instead choose the most dynamic flavors with just the right amount of hotness.
Subscriptions are available monthly and quarterly, with the choice of 1 or 3 bottles per box. Prices start at $12.95/month. When you choose the 3-bottle monthly option, your first box will include 2 sauces and a mini-tasting notebook. Every box after will contain 3 full bottles.
Let’s check out the February 2016 Fuego Box!
The bottles were shipped in a bright red box that was protected by a bubble mailer to ensure that everything stayed in tact.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the sauces, as well as a little background info on each one and suggestions on how to best enjoy them.
Ghost Scream Hot Sauce – A “bold and tasty” small batch sauce made with fresh California-grown produce including the almighty ghost pepper! The sauce is all natural, gluten-free, and great on dishes like steak, eggs, pizza, chili, and more.
Marshall’s Serrano Ginger Lemongrass Haute Sauce – I don’t think I’ve ever tried a green hot sauce before. This one hails from Portland, OR and is made with ingredients sourced from local farms. It features the more traditional flavors of serrano peppers and tomatillos, along with the unique additions of ginger root and lemongrass. Great for enjoying with rice & veggies!
C&C Foods Sweet Savina Sunrise S3 – Inspired by spicy Indian cuisine, this hot sauce is made in small batches in Charleston, SC. It has a “perfect blend of sweet & heat” which includes mango, red bell pepper, sweet onion, and capsicum Chinese peppers. A nice choice for stir fry, tacos, and Bloody Marys.
Fuego Box continues to deliver high quality hot sauces to the sauce-obsessed masses. I’ve never been all that into hot sauce until the last few months, thanks to all the bottles I get in subscription boxes. Now that I’m enjoying them more, this is a great box to expand my hot sauce horizons. 🙂
