GlobeIn has just released a new Limited Edition Jewelry Box, which I was lucky enough to be sent for review. 🙂
If you’re not aware, GlobeIn is a monthly subscription box that features handcrafted goods by artisans around the world. Each month features a new theme with products supplied by various artisans. GlobeIn helps to bring income and exposure to small artists, while introducing you to beautiful pieces of their culture. Many of the products included are eco-friendly, fairly traded, and/or organic. Regular subscriptions are $40/month (shipping included), or less with multi-month commitments.
The GlobeIn Limited Edition Jewelry Box is a one-time cost of $70, but you can get it for just $50 when you sign up for their monthly subscription. — Plus, you can save 25% on your first month with any 3-month or longer subscription with coupon code “WELCOME“.
Let’s see what’s inside the July 2016 GlobeIn Jewelry Box!
A peek inside! — Note: Customers who purchase this will be sent a much nicer box than the ones sent for review.
As with the regular GlobeIn boxes, a little info booklet was included which featured full color photos and background information on all of the pieces, as well as the artisans who created them.
Palm Leaf Pouch Mexico ($12) – All of the jewelry was tucked into this cute hand-woven pouch, a variation of the standard round GlobeIn baskets.
GlobeIn created this jewelry collection in collaboration with Tribe Alive — a business who partners with artisan collectives around the world, giving them training and support.
Notch Ring Honduras ($25) – While I typically prefer silver jewelry, I also don’t mind a bit of brass (especially once it “ages”). Good news for me considering that all of the pieces in this box are, in fact, brass. 😉 This simple notch ring was created by artisan jewelry makers in Honduras. I love its clean, minimalist look.
Handwoven Pouch Guatemala ($18) – This tiny handwoven pouch is perfect for holding your jewelry when not in use. It features an interior lining to make sure its contents are properly protected.
Crescent Stud Earrings Honduras ($25) – These dainty crescent-shaped stud earrings were crafted by the same artisans responsible for the notch ring above. Even the cloth tab used to display them was hand-dyed and sewn by these dedicated artisans.
Wave Cuff Honduras ($32) – While this isn’t the type of bracelet I would usually wear, it’s totally growing on me. As with the other pieces, I love its beautiful simplicity. What really sold me though, is the fact that it’s super adjustable to fit just about anyone. I like my bracelets very snug, so I was happy to find that this could be easily tightened to fit my teeny wrist. 🙂
Token Pendant Necklace Honduras ($35) – The final piece was this pendant necklace featuring a rectangular brass token. Like the others, it has a nice minimalist design and can be easily worked into just about any wardrobe.
I was really impressed by the entire collection featured in this Limited Edition GlobeIn Jewelry Box. All of the pieces were beautifully crafted and can be worn individually or all together for cohesive look. The total retail value of everything is just over $120! — The GlobeIn Limited Edition Jewelry Box is a one-time cost of $70, but you can get it for just $50 when you sign up for their monthly subscription. — Plus, you can save 25% on your first month with any 3-month or longer subscription with coupon code “WELCOME“.
