Let’s see what’s inside the GlobeIn July 2021 “Seaside Box”!
Everything was shipped in a pink & white box with the GlobeIn logo on the side.
A peek in the box!
I didn’t receive an info card this month, but I was able to view more details on the “Seaside Box” right on GlobeIn’s website.
Small Capiz Shell Wind Chime, Indonesia
I was SO excited to see this pretty wind chime in July’s box! We’ve been slowly adding new furniture/decor to our front porch and I immediately knew the perfect spot for this piece. 🙂 Collected by fishermen in Maduran region of Java in Indonesia, these translucent (yet durable) shells are dyed to mimic the colors of the ocean. Local artisans then string them together to create these beautiful works of art.
Fish Table Runner, India
Add a bit of whimsy to your summer dinners with help from this seaside-inspired table runner. Created using age old block printing techniques, it features images of fish in varying shades of blue, green, and purple. It’s made of 100% cotton and measures 78 inches long by 17 inches wide — the ideal size for most dining room tables (including ours). 🙂
Whitewashed Terracotta Shell Bud Vase, Bangladesh
In keeping with the seaside theme, the final item was a shell-shaped terracotta bud vase. Handcrafted by a team of artisans in Bangladesh, this piece would go swimmingly (ha) with the other nautical/seaside themed pieces in this month’s box. It measures roughly 5.25 inches long by 5 inches high by 2 inches wide and is perfect for displaying handpicked wildflowers.
Once I saw the spoiler for the capiz shell wind chime, my “Seaside” themed GlobeIn box couldn’t arrive fast enough! It’s even prettier in person and gives our porch a nice little pop of color. I absolutely LOVE it! 😀 — Remember, for a limited time you can save 50% on your first box with coupon code ARTISAN50!
