GlobeIn recently released a limited edition “Entertain” box featuring items to help plan your next gathering or dinner party. — Perfect for the upcoming holidays!
If you’re not aware, GlobeIn is a monthly subscription box that features handcrafted goods by artisans around the world. Each month features a new theme with products supplied by various artisans. GlobeIn helps to bring income and exposure to small artists, while introducing you to beautiful pieces of their culture. Many of the products included are eco-friendly, fairly traded, and/or organic. Subscriptions are $40/month (shipping included), or less with multi-month commitments. — You can save 25% on your first month with any 3-month or longer subscription with coupon code “WELCOME“.
In addition to their standard Artisan Box, they also offer a smaller Benefit Basket for just $19.95/month. Every Benefit Basket includes one artisan-made item, along with a handwoven palm leaf basket.
The Limited Edition “Entertain” box is a one-time purchase of $50, or just $35 for subscribers.
Let’s see what’s inside the Limited Edition “Entertain” GlobeIn box!
Everything was shipped in the same familiar green & white GlobeIn box.
A peek inside!
As always, a little info booklet featured full color photos and background information on all of the products included in the box, as well as the artisans who created them.
GlobeIn Greeting Card ($2) – A blank greeting card was provided to use as an invitation or thank you note for your guest(s). It would have been nice to receive more than one card (for multiple guests), but it’s cute nonetheless.
Neem Wood Spice Bowl India ($15) – Hand-carved in India by artisans of the West Bengal woodcarving community, this little neem wood bowl was specially designed to hold various spices. It was included in the “Savour” themed box over the summer and I’m happy to receive a second one.
Palm Leaf Bottle Basket Mexico ($12) – This palm leaf bottle basket is woven the same way as the original GlobeIn baskets, but is designed to hold a bottle of wine. Great for snazzing up your own wine, or including with a hostess gift.
Neem Wood Salad Grabbers India ($15) – These beautiful salad grabbers were hand-carved out of neem wood by members of a cooperative called The Village Experience. Some of its artisans work right from the comfort of their homes, where they can better balance motherhood with earning a living for their family. A great addition to the dinner table.
Turkish Kitchen Towel Turkey ($12) – This kitchen towel is made of 100% cotton that’s woven on a traditional hand loom. Every tassel is also created by hand! I love getting new kitchen towels, so this was a nice addition to the box.
Ilocano Asin Sea Salt in Mini Basket Phillippines ($12) – Harvested from the seawaters off the island of Luzon, this Philippine sea salt features hollow, crunchy crystals — far superior to generic table salts. It can be used for grilling, roasting, finishing, or to add a flavor boost to any dish. The little basket that held the salt was hand-woven by a network of women weavers on the island of Cabilao. 🙂
The Limited Edition “Entertain” GlobeIn Box is a great box to kick of the holiday entertaining season. The total value of all the items was just over $70, which is decent for the $50 cost, but even better for the $35 subscriber price! — If you’d like to sign up for the GlobeIn Artisan box, you can save 25% on your first month with any 3-month or longer subscription with coupon code “WELCOME“.
