April 2017 Glossybox review time!
If you’re not aware, Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box that sends 5-6 deluxe sized samples packed inside a super sturdy, reusable box. The packaging is top notch and only the highest quality brands are included. Like many of the other beauty subscriptions, you’ll fill out a personal beauty profile when you sign up so that they can send products that best suit your lifestyle, skin type, etc. They also have a great rewards system where you can earn points for reviewing the products you receive in your box. Once you’ve accumulated 1,000 points, you’ll earn a free month.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $21/month and shipping is free. — For a limited time, you can save 50% off your first box with coupon code “SPRING50” — OR save 25% on any 3 or 6 month subscription with coupon code “SPRING25“!
Let’s see what’s in my April 2017 Glossybox!
The signature pale pink box.
A peek inside!
The info sheet was more of a poster that unfolded to reveal the contents of April’s box — along with descriptions, retail prices, and tips for each item. It also included variant items that some subscribers received instead of the ones that were in my particular box. (Each month usually includes slight variations in products between boxes.)
Doucce Maxlash Volumizer Mascara ($22)
This volumizing mascara includes an extra large brush that glides through lashes evenly, adding depth and dimension to each one. The formula promises to be clump-resistant, flake proof, smudge proof, and resistant to sweat & humidity.
Babor #Masterpiece Ampoule Set ($38)
I couldn’t find this exact item online, so I linked to a similar product. I’m also not entirely sure what these are/how they work, so I’ll just tell you what the info card said. 😉 “This skincare superhero pairs two types of ampoules to instantly repair and protect dry or dehydrated skin with all black active ingredients like black truffle and black seaweed, which effectively boost skin energy levels while regenerating and lifting. To use: After cleansing, shake the ampoule and wrap a tissue around its neck. Hold the ampoule firmly, and with a sharp movement snap it open at the lower, colored ring.”
Colourpop Cosmetics Ultra Matte Lip ($12 for both)
Glossybox subscribers received not one, but two Colourpop lippies this month! Colors varied from box to box, but I received “Airplane Mode” (top 2 photos) — a “dirty peach” shade and “Tuesday” which was the boldest of the two & described as a “bright coral red”. I’m definitely liking the peach one!
Aromafloria For Feet’s Sake Intense Repair Spa Foot Butter ($4)
A nourishing foot treatment made with natural ingredients including shea butter, vitamin E, aloe vera juice, tea tree oil, and peppermint oil. Massage into your legs and feet in a circular motion for 2-3 minutes to reveal ultra moisturized, happy skin. 🙂
Jafra Cosmetics International Paris et Moi Eau de Parfum (~$7)
This award winning fragrance is described as having notes of juicy Mara strawberry, romantic rose petal macaron, and elegantly enduring creamy silky woods. I’m awful at describing (and interpreting) scents, so we’ll just go with that.
Mystery Bonus Products: Beauty Shampoo & Conditioner
Glossybox partnered with a “secret brand” to provide this bonus shampoo & conditioner set. It’s from a well known brand that has recently reformulated their products and wanted to hear what subscribers thought of them. (Rumor has it that the brand is Head n’ Shoulders. Shh!)
Another high value month from Glossybox! My favorite items this time were the lighter Colourpop lipstick, the foot butter, and mascara. As always, the total retail value was great at just over $80! 😀 — Remember, for a limited time you can save 50% off your first box with coupon code “SPRING50” — OR save 25% on any 3 or 6 month subscription with coupon code “SPRING25“!
