My December Glossybox came right before Christmas and although I had already seen plenty of spoilers, I was still excited to open it up. I was super impressed by the presentation… So festive!
Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box that sends 5-6 deluxe sized samples packed inside a super sturdy, reusable box. The packaging is top notch and only the highest quality brands are included. Like many of the other beauty subscriptions, you’ll fill out a personal beauty profile when you sign up so that they can send products that best suit your lifestyle, skin type, etc.
Subscriptions are $21/month and shipping is free. They also have a great rewards system where you can earn points for reviewing the products you receive in your box. Once you’ve accumulated 1,000 points, you’ll earn a free month.
Let’s check out December’s Glossybox!
Here’s the pretty box tucked safely inside the (not as pretty) outer shipping box.
Glossybox has super sturdy, resusable boxes that I can’t bring my self to get rid of. (Someday I’ll find a use for them, right? Someday…)
The info card is a 3-panel foldout that includes photos of each product, as well as the price for full sized versions and helpful tips on how to get the most of of each item. (More products listed on the back, not pictured.)
Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute ($32.00) – An ultra hydrating mask that provides up to 24 hours of skin-soothing relief for dry winter skin. It’s made with moisturizing ingredients including 8 different plant milks and aloe vera sap. You just smooth in onto your face and wait 10 minutes before either massaging in the access or wiping it off with a toner. My face is always super dry in the winter, so I’ll definitely be giving this a try.
Ciate Mini Paint Pot in Yule Rules ($8.00) – Such a pretty color! I had seen reviews earlier in the month with a different gold glitter shade which I wasn’t a fan of, so I was happy to see this blue one in my box instead. Yay! It’s sort of a turquoise-y color and I love it. Much better than (blech) gold!
Rituals Cosmetics Miracle Scrub in Ginseng & Ginkgo Biloba ($17) – I’ve never used a hand scrub, so I’m curious to see how this will work. The thought of putting a scrub on dry hands just seems weird to me, but it must work, right? We’ll see! It’s made with ginseng, ginkgo biloba and nourishing oils to deeply hydrate the driest skin.
Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in Burlesque ($19.99) – The cap of this was actually off when I opened my box, but surprisingly there was little damage to the lipstick. Not that it matters, since I don’t wear lipstick, but at least I can still pass it along to someone who will. This is formulated with mineral pigments, iron oxides, & antioxidants and will last for hours.
Toni&Guy Leave in Conditioner ($16.99) – I have a spray conditioner that I sometimes use to tame the frizzies, but I’m willing to give this leave-in cream a shot too. You comb a small amount through your hair before styling or blow drying and let it do its thing.
Wow! What a great month for Glossybox! Almost all full sized products with a total retail value of around $94.00! Crazy. I didn’t expect this much for a $21/month box. Color me impressed. 🙂
If you’re interested in signing up for Glossybox, now is the time! Through 12/31, they’re offering new customers 20% off any subscription when you use coupon code “GLOSSY2014” at checkout. Nice!
