My March Glossybox was delayed due to “extreme weather” near their warehouse. It finally arrived a couple days ago but I’m pretty happy with it, so no biggie.
If you’re not aware, Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box that sends 5-6 deluxe sized samples packed inside a super sturdy, reusable box. The packaging is top notch and only the highest quality brands are included. Like many of the other beauty subscriptions, you’ll fill out a personal beauty profile when you sign up so that they can send products that best suit your lifestyle, skin type, etc.
Subscriptions are $21/month and shipping is free. They also have a great rewards system where you can earn points for revewing the products you receive in your box. Once you’ve accumulated 1,000 points, you’ll earn a free month.
Let the March Glossybox unboxing begin!
As always, the presentation was pretty… though not anywhere near as pretty as last month’s box.
The tri-fold Glossybox info cards include photos of every product, descriptions, prices, and even tips on using them.
Tree Hut Shea Body Butter in Coconut Lime ($7.49) – Mmm… This stuff smells amazing! It’s made with certified organic shea and cocoa butters, as well as coconut and lime extracts for a yummy tropical scent. I’ve been loving body butters lately, so this was definitely my favorite item in the box.
Ouidad 12 Minute Deep Treatment ($10) – An intensive repair treatment that deep conditions for a “just from the salon” look. It works best with heat, so it’s recommended that you apply it to your hair, cover your head with a shower cap, then heat it with a blow dryer for 12 minutes. Yeeeeah… Not happening. 😉
Pop Beauty Kajal Pen in Inky Purple ($10) – My photos for this box turned out pretty crummy, so I included a photo from the Pop Beauty site to show the actual color of the liner. It’s a pretty, dark purple shade that’s not too much of a stretch from my usual black. It’s paraben-free and safe for sensitive eyes.
Bellapierre Cosmetics Cheek & Lip Stain in Pink ($19.99) – An oil-free, mineral based stain that can be used on your cheeks and/or lips. I have tons of products like this waiting to be used, so I’ll just add it to the pile. 😉
Orogold Cosmetics 24K Multi-Vitamin Day Moisturizer (~$50) – This crazy-expensive day cream contains actual 24 karat gold, which is said to reduce the signs of aging by firming the skin. I haven’t tried it yet, because honestly, if I do see any results there’s no way I’m paying $178 for a full-sized pot of this stuff. Nope.
Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with this month’s Glossybox. I don’t even mind that it was hella late in arriving. I love the Tree Hut body butter, the liner looks pretty, and I’ll eventually get around to using the stain. Value-wise, the products in this month’s box come to about $97.50. Not too shabby!
