Glossybox has just released an exclusive limited edition collaboration box with Rituals, which I was recently sent for review.
The “Ritual of Sakura” Glossybox is available to subscribers for just $25 ($30 for non-subscribers) and has a total retail value of $84! It includes five full sized Rituals items — all which have a beautiful cherry blossom inspired scent.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
If you’re not aware, Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box that sends 5-6 deluxe sized samples packed inside a super sturdy, reusable box. The packaging is top notch and only the highest quality brands are included. Like many of the other beauty subscriptions, you’ll fill out a personal beauty profile when you sign up so that they can send products that best suit your lifestyle, skin type, etc.
Subscriptions are $21/month and shipping is free. They also have a great rewards system where you can earn points for reviewing the products you receive in your box. Once you’ve accumulated 1,000 points, you’ll earn a free month.
Let’s see what’s in the Glossybox “Ritual of Sakura” Limited Edition Box!
In keeping with the theme, everything came in a pretty white box decorated with pink cherry blossoms.
A peek inside! — Glossybox always has such an impressive presentation. Definitely gift-worthy! (Mother’s Day’s in a couple months! 😉 )
I didn’t receive an info card, which was odd since their regular monthly boxes always include one. I’m thinking it was just mistakenly left out? Not a big deal though, as it’s easy enough to find everything on the Rituals site.
From Rituals:
For centuries, the Japanese have celebrated the annual flowering of the Cherry Blossom, or Sakura. This marks an awakening of nature and symbolizes that beauty is momentary and life must be enjoyed. Inspired by this tradition, The Ritual of Sakura collection blends the sweetness of Cherry Blossom with nourishing Organic Rice Milk, to make each day feel like a new beginning.
The Ritual of Sakura Softening Rice Scrub ($17)
A gentle, exfoliating body scrub that helps removes dead skin cells, leaving your skin soft and radiant. It’s enriched with organic rice milk and the light fragrance of cherry blossoms. I’m typically not a big fan of floral scents in general, but I honestly love this scent! It’s very light and reminds me of springtime. Not a strong perfume-y floral at all. 🙂
The Ritual of Sakura Caring Shower Oil ($15)
This cleansing shower oil becomes a silky foam when it comes into contact with water. Not only does it cleanse the skin, but it also provides a sheer layer of nourishing oil to keep your skin extra soft and hydrated. According to the website, this product will also prolong your tan by reducing pigment loss due to its intense hydrating properties.
The Ritual of Sakura Magic Touch Body Cream ($10)
A nourishing, whipped body cream that hydrates the skin leaving behind the sweet scent of cherry blossoms. The formula contains a unique blend of antioxidants, Vitamin E, and the ingredient Centella Asiatica, which helps strengthen your skin.
Rituals Gingko’s Secret Caring Hand Balm ($17?)
Okay, so obviously this isn’t part of The Ritual of Sakura line… I’m honestly not sure if it was substituted by mistake, or due to fulfillment issues, but here it is. 😉 This Gingko’s Secret hand balm is infused with ginseng and gingko biloba to help soften dry to extra dry skin.
The Ritual of Sakura Flourishing Bed & Body Mist ($25)
While I probably wouldn’t use this as a body spray (I stick to essential oil based products), I do like the other idea noted on their website. — Spray a little Bed & Body mist on a cotton ball and vacuum it up. As you clean, the fragrance will spread throughout the whole house. Clever! 🙂
What a great box! — You really can’t beat $84 in Rituals products for just $25. 😀 I’m honestly surprised at how much I enjoy the cherry blossom scent. For someone who doesn’t typically enjoy floral-scented products, that’s saying a lot. 😉 — Remember, this limited edition Glossybox Ritual of Sakura box is available NOW for just $25 (current subscribers) or $30 as a one-time purchase by non-subscribers. Grab one before they’re gone! 😀
