Gramsly Box Review & Giveaway! Ends 5/26/14

Gramsly is a service that provides personalized care packages for older adults. Boxes are customized especially for men and women aged 50 and up. — Perfect for parents, grandparents, or any older loved one who’d enjoy a fun surprise in the mail.

You can personalize your Gramsly box with a note and even a photo, which can be easily uploaded to their site. Boxes typically include 10-15 items ranging from snacks, to personal care products, to games, and more. When you purchase the box, there’s a place on the order form where you can indicate any allergies, likes/dislikes, favorite colors, etc. This helps Gramsly select the best items for your loved one’s personal tastes/interests.

Gramsly recently sent me a box for review, and since I don’t fall within their target age range (phew!), I set up a profile for an older version of myself. 😉 I told them that I was 50, vegan, and liked the color pink. Let’s see what they sent!

First look! The outer box wasn’t too exciting, but inside was a different story.

Everything in the box was individually wrapped and sealed with little Gramsly logo stickers. I loved pulling out package after package and piling them all up before I tore into them. So fun!

They included a little thank you note, as well as the photo that I had uploaded to their site for inclusion in the box. I’m not a grandma, but something tells me this would be their favorite part of the goodies. 😉

The Seaweed Bath Co. Lavender Scented Powder Bath – Ooh! I can’t wait to use this! I love bath products and I LOVE lavender, so I was super happy to unwrap this guy. It contains 100% natural ingredients including dead sea salt, seaweed, and argan oil. It’s paraben/sulfate free and gluten free.

EO Face Bar Soap in Oatmeal & Honey – EO soap products are made from natural and organic ingredients. The 2 bars pictured above are facial soaps made with oatmeal & honey. I personally don’t have any problem using honey, but most vegans do. I sent Gramsly a note to let them know, in case they run into any actual vegan grandparents (I hope they’re out there!). A few days later, I received 2 replacement soaps made with grapefruit & mint, even though I told them a replacement totally wasn’t necessary. So nice!

Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn – Yum! I’ve had this before and it’s super good. Perfectly popped kernels with just the right amount of salt. It’s certified gluten free, vegan, and made with non-GMO corn. Who doesn’t love popcorn?

Cherry Pie Larabar (x2) – I’m a big fan of Larabars. They’re about as close to fresh fruit & nuts as you can get, but in bar form. The ingredients in these Cherry Pie bars? Dates, almonds, and unsweetened cherries. That’s all! Definitely a great, guilt-free snack.

Justin’s Chocolate Hazelnut Butter Blend (x2) – Chocolate + hazelnut = love. These single-serve squeeze packs are perfect for a little midday pick-me-up. They’re all natural and gluten/dairy-free.

Lined Hardcover Journal/Notebook – This is a pretty 5×7 journal/notebook with a purple floral design on the cover. It can be used for… Well, anything! It’s always nice to receive a brand new notebook.

Pharmacopia Lavender Hand Cream (x4) – These are single-use packets of lavender-scented hand cream for dry and chapped skin. It’s shea butter based, made with organic ingredients, and paraben free.

Pink Bath Pouf/Sponge – This is a nice, practical item that everyone can use. In fact, my husband actually claimed this when he saw it in the box. His pink pouf secret is totally safe with me… Er… it was… 😉

I was pretty happy with my Gramsly box. Yeah, it would have been nice to have more full-sized items, but I’m sure any recipient would be more than happy to get a fun box like this. The items were all high quality and totally useful. I like that the boxes are so customizable and that they also include a personal note/photo. That extra touch makes all the difference.
