Idea Chic Stationery Box Set “Love Notes” Review

The Idea Chic Stationery Box Set is a monthly subscription box that delivers a collection of beautifully designed stationery right to your door.

Each box will be based on a different theme and will consist of five to six cards — all of which are made in-house by this family operated business. Themes include Birthday, Congratulations/Celebration, Thank You, Nature, and more. Idea Chic also offers a quarterly subscription (The Seasons Parcel Post, $30.95/quarter), which is released seasonally and includes both stationery as well as unique gifts & handmade items.

Subscriptions (for the Stationery Box Set) are $22.95/month, or less with multi-month commitments.

The box!

A peek inside! There wasn’t an info card, but I suppose the contents are pretty self-explanatory. I was able to find retail prices via their online shop. Included was a nice mix of both letterpress and flat printed stationery in various sizes.

XOXO Envelope with Love Note Heart Card ($2.25) – This sweet little “mini card” measures 2.25″ x 3.75″ and comes with an equally sweet “XOXO” envelope. It’s printed on recycled paper and is the perfect size for tucking inside a gift.

The Perfect Match Greeting Card ($4.95) – I love the fun design of this one! — The front reads “We are the perfect match” and opens like a matchbook, single staple and all. The inside is blank to write your own message to that special someone who really “lights your fire”. (Ugh… What a mom “joke”… Who am I??)

I Love You More Than… Greeting Card ($4.95) – Oh, the irony. As a vegan, telling someone that I love them more than “bacon and eggs” kind of goes without saying. 😉 This card is blank inside, measures 3 3/4″ x 7 1/2″, and comes with a kraft envelope.

Love Note Card Sewn With Red Thread ($5.95) – This pretty card is flat printed on a natural white recycled speckletone stock. It features a hand sewn red line on the front along with a matching kraft paper envelope with “delivered with love” printed above the address bars. Very cute!

Birch Tree with Carved Red Heart Letterpress Love Note Card ($5.95) – I’ve always loved birch trees so of course I’m digging the design on this note card. It’s hand letterpress printed in a slate grey ink and accented with a bright red heart. The rounded corners are a nice touch too.

Red Lovebirds Letterpress Printed Mini Card ($3.95) – Another adorable “mini card”! This one features red letterpress printed lovebirds on a white cotton stock.

Heart Stickers – Six bright red heart stickers were also included as a little bonus.

Overall, I’m very impressed by the stationery items featured in the Idea Chic Stationery Box Set. There’s just something about nicely designed letterpress printed cards… Definitely a major step up from my usual dollar store greetings. 😉 The value was more than fair too — $28 in products. (Not crazy high, but above the cost of the monthly subscription. Works for me!)
