Let’s see what’s in the July 2016 Indigo Beaux box!
Everything was shipped in a big cardboard box with lots of padding to protect the pretty (and sturdy) Indigo Beaux box shown above.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the items in July’s box, along with brief descriptions, photos, and retail values.
Beekman 1802 “Fresh Cream” Hand Cream ($22) – Well, that’s a new one. — I can’t say I’ve ever seen lotion packaging that consists of a wooden box with a metal slide-out lid. Fancy! This paraben-free hand cream is enriched with real goat’s milk, shea butter, vanilla extract, sunflower seed oil, and other skin-nourishing ingredients. While I won’t be using this myself (goat’s milk isn’t exactly vegan 😉 ), my husband is going to try it out on his perpetually dry hands and see if it helps.
Gold Label Cosmetics Lipstick in “Private Jet” ($14) – Gold Label Cosmetics is a color cosmetics company for “the beauty enthusiast who seeks opulence and convenience”. This creamy, highly pigmented lipstick is described as “the clutch lipstick in your makeup bag for all of your vacations”. It’s a little too bold/bright for me, so I’ll pass it along to someone who can rock it.
ABHA Candle in “Forever Blossom” ($16) – After a LOT of Googling, I was unable to find this particular brand of candle anywhere. That said, I’m not sure what the wax is made from, but it does smell nice. Oh, I should probably point out that the black stuff on top isn’t dirt or anything gross — it’s just paper dust from all the packing squigglies. 😉
It’s Skin Syn-ake Formula 10 Serum ($23) – This concentrated anti-aging facial serum contains Syn-Ake — an ingredient similar to snake venom. It helps to visibly improve the skin by firming and reducing the look of fine lines & wrinkles.
Indigo Beaux Herbal Pillow ($30) – Wow — this is one heavy herbal pillow! It’s filled with what feels like dry rice, along with soothing scents of lavender, chamomile, and rose. It can be used either warmed or cooled, depending on your needs. Full instructions and tips are included on the info card pictured above.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from my first Indigo Beaux box, but it was a decent debut offering. The most luxe item was probably the hand cream, though my favorite may have been the herbal pillow. I’m not sure I would value it at $30, but it was nice nonetheless. All totaled, July’s retail value was roughly $105 (give or take a few dollars for the handmade pillow and the mystery candle).
