Ipsy is a beauty subscription that sends subscribers a monthly “Glam Bag” of cosmetics and beauty accessories for just $14/month.
When you sign up, you’ll get to complete a “beauty quiz” to determine your likes/dislikes, makeup preferences, etc. This helps Ipsy learn which products to send in your Glam Bag. Each bag will contain 4-6 deluxe sample sized products from top cosmetics brands. Products can include makeup, skincare, hair care, nail care, and even beauty tools. — You’ll even get to personally choose one of the products for your bag every month!

Many different brand/product variations are sent each month, so you’ll see that other subscribers may have gotten totally different products than you did. If all goes well, your beauty quiz answers will match you with products that most meet your needs… But honestly, even if you only like one or two of the products, for $14 shipped it’s still a pretty good deal. (Plus, you’ll always get a cute new bag!)
Subscriptions are $14/month with free shipping within the US (only $3.95 extra to Canada).
Let’s see what’s in my May 2024 Ipsy bag!
Everything was shipped in a pastel bubble mailer with a white Ipsy logo at the bottom.
An info card revealed the theme of the May 2024 Glam Bag and listed all of the items I’d find inside, along with brief descriptions, tips, and retail values for each one.
May 2024 Ipsy Glam Bag
The bag itself featured a beautiful floral design that spread across both the front and back. The inside was lined with a satiny brown/tan fabric and finished with a gold zipper/Ipsy logo pull. It’s such a pretty print and a big improvement over some of the more… questionable designs of year’s past. 😉
Reina Rebelde Wet Dry Eye Color Sirena Palette
I totally forgot to log into my account during the choice window, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that I actually received the item that I would have selected. Yay! This pretty eye palette from Reina Rebelde features 7 matte, pearl, and metallic shades that can be applied both wet and/or dry. Such great neutral colors and although I’m not sure I’ll be able to pull it off, I love that teal! The palette is 100% paraben/phthalate-free and vegan-friendly!
Laurens Skincare Vanilla Almond Body Scrub
I’ve never been sure which product to use first — body scrub or body wash/soap. I decided to Google it and turns out… there’s no definitive answer. Ha! I think I’ll go with scrub first to exfoliate, soap after to wash everything away. This particular scrub from Laurens Skincare is enriched with aloe vera & Vitamin C to nourish the skin while gently exfoliating to remove dead skin cells, debris, etc. It has a nice light vanilla scent that’s not too overpowering. It’s also sulfate/paraben/phthalate-free.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
I have pretty sparse brows that don’t need much taming/grooming, so I’m not really sure this is a product that I actually need. However, it also claims to help lock in pigment from brow pens/pencils (which I do use), so maybe I’ll use it for that? It looks like it has lots of positive reviews on Ipsy’s site.
What’s Up Beauty Egyptian Queen Lipstick in Seba
When it comes to lipstick, I’m all about the mauve. This matte lipstick from What’s Up Beauty (in “Seba”) totally fits the bill and I love it. 🙂 It’s made with clean/non-toxic ingredients and is infused with hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and castor oil to help nourish your lips & keep them hydrated. It’s also cruelty-free and vegan friendly!
Seraphine Botanicals Diamantine Beaming Highlighter in Oyster
This talc-free highlighter gives you the glimmer of a liquid with the lightness of a powder. It’s made with superfine pearlized mica to create a gorgeous radiance without looking overdone. I personally don’t use highlighter, but I suppose it could work as an eyeshadow too?
My May 2024 Ipsy Glam Bag included a nice assortment of cosmetics and skincare — plus a really cute bag. 🙂 My personal favorites were the Reina Rebelde Sirena Palette, Laurens Skincare Body Scrub, and What’s Up Beauty Egyptian Queen lipstick. — Thinking of trying out Ipsy’s Glam Bag for yourself?
