Time for another Nadine West review! — Let’s see what’s in my May 2024 package!
Nadine West is a clothing subscription service providing customers with personalized items to try on from the comfort of their home. Each monthly shipment — chosen by your own personal stylist — will include 4 to 6 items, typically consisting of tops (shirts, blouses, cardigans), a bottom (shorts, leggings, skirts), a dress and a couple pieces of jewelry or other accessories. They may also include seasonal items, like sunglasses in the summer or a scarf or beanie in the winter.
Disclosure: Package was received for review purposes. Post may contain affiliate links.
Upon signing up, you’ll fill out a style profile indicating your clothing size(s), jewelry preference, colors you’d like to avoid, areas you’d prefer to conceal (tummy, thighs, etc.), and more. This can be changed/updated at any time.
After you receive your package, you can try the items on in the comfort of your home, and see how easily they fit into your existing wardrobe. Return what you didn’t love by the specified date on your packing slip by using the same envelope, return postage label and the sticky tape included. There are no fees or no hidden costs. You simply pay only for the items you keep.
There is no monthly cost for the subscription, but rather a $9.78 shipping charge. If you choose to keep any of your items, that charge is credited to your purchase (making shipping free!). — For a limited time, you can try your first package for FREE (no shipping charge!) and save $25 when you keep every item in your package with coupon code “NWROSE25“!
Everything was shipped in a bright pink poly mailer bag — which is the same bag you’ll use to return any items you choose not to purchase.
All of the pieces were folded into two separate bundles and wrapped in pink tissue paper.
A packing slip listed each of the items, along with their discounted prices.
I received 2 tops, 2 bottoms (pants), 1 dress, and 1 necklace.
The screenshot above shows how I described my personal style in the Style Profile. Let’s see how they did this time!
Callie Black & Mustard Top
For some reason, my photos are making the polka-dots look shiny/metallic. I assure you, they are not. 😉 They’re just regular ol’ mustard-colored dots on a solid black background. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this tank until I actually tried it on and was surprised at how nicely it fit. I really like its deep — but not too deep — scoop neck collar and its slimming cut. I do wish it were a little shorter (I’m 5′ 7″ and it covers my entire butt), but overall it’s a win.
Roommates Elisia Top in Black & White
My tween’s very honest, teen-like reaction when she saw this top: “Ew, what the heck is that?!”. A little harsh, but I have to admit even I wasn’t expecting to find a zebra print tank top with a built-in pearl “necklace” attached to its collar. 😉 That said, I’m sure it would be easy enough to remove the pearl strand if it’s not your style. It’s actually not too bad otherwise. The cute keyhole closure on the back is a nice touch.
Shanaia Dress in Dusty Rose
As much as I’ve been loving that Nadine West has been sending me maxi dresses lately, sadly this one totally missed the mark. 🙁 Not only is it constructed of an insanely thin material, but you would also have to be very toned to achieve a flattering look as it’s also incredibly clingy.
Express Cosette Boyfriend Jeans
Ooh, name brand jeans! 😀 I definitely wasn’t expecting to receive something from Express. These mid-rise boyfriend jeans are made with “smart denim”, which is (allegedly) designed to fit every body type. They feature a medium wash and have ripped details/holes on both legs. Although I appreciate the brand, I’m still very much a sucker for skinny jeans (and yes, I’m Gen X. 😉 ).
Laundry Loida Leggings in Black
While I prefer my jeans skinny, I have no problem with flares when it comes to cozy pants (aka “hanging out at home pants”). These black flared leggings are insanely soft and comfy. The material looks almost velvety, but it feels more like… I don’t even know. Microfiber? Ha. Whatever it is, I’m a fan.
Klay Necklace in Rhodium
This month’s jewelry item was a mid-length silver necklace featuring two layered chains. The shortest chain was bare, while the longest held a small round crystal pendant. As with most of my jewelry from Nadine West, my daughter immediately claimed this as her own. 🙂
Once I decide which items to keep, I can simply place the unwanted pieces back into the original shipping bag and send them back using the pre-paid return label above. So easy!
My May 2024 Nadine West shipment included a nice collection of summer-ready pieces — including a pair of Express jeans. My favorites this time were the Callie Polka Dot Top, Laundry Loida Leggings, and Klay Neckace. — Remember, for a limited time you can try your first package for FREE (no shipping charge!) and save $25 when you keep every item in your package with coupon code “NWROSE25“!
